Jackalberry Tentend Camp, what better to ask for a vacation in Namibia, a fantastic place in the middle of nature, I dare not imagine what it will be like when the rainy season finally begins. My wife and I arrived at 3 pm hungry and asked for something to eat and surprise us they prepared a spaghetti worthy of the best Italian restaurant. Meals continued for the 3 days of stay with a high degree of quality and kindness. The guide that accompanied us to the game drive was absolutely fantastic, at the first exit we saw everything and more but not the lions and our guide told us: I am satisfied with my work today because there were many animals, sorry because I couldn 't get back to the binoculars.

An experience to be repeated over and over again

What a perfect, peaceful and remote location! This lodge has only 4 “glamcamping’ rooms, each of which has the double bed, fly nets, air fan (not air con) and built in shower and toilet. There is also  a central building for the main lodge area, which is built into a Jackalberry tree over 3 levels, this has the dining area and 2 viewing and seating platforms and a small bar.

It is not easy to find,,,,a good 20 km over dust roads with random signing, so get the satellite coordinates and make sure it all works in advance. Once here the food is very good (set menu with no choices each day, you can adjust to allergies and limited preferences) served 3 times daily. Game drives, river drives and night drives all possible and offered by the lodge.

All rooms are clean but being tents heat up a LOT during the day, so make sure you leave them to be aired, at night they call off quickly however. This place is ideal for those wanting to be off of the beaten track….

Gorgeous, remote located tented camp with stunning views

After about 45 minutes of driving with holes, debris and deep sand, we finally get to the camp, the drive itself is already the first game drive and without 4x4 there's nothing going on here. The 4 tents are far enough apart from each other, they're simply set up, but lightning-safe and with all the comforts you can expect for this secluded location. The highlight is definitely the activities with Robson. In the morning a game drive, in the afternoon/to Sundowner a boat ride, with spectacular views, sometimes both of them. The trips are incredibly touching, on water and on land, all in one day. Robson is really a very lively one, thank you very much for the achievements.

The animals, the animals, the animals, thanks to Robson!

The lodge with four tents and an unusual main house is located on the edge of Lupala Island overlooking the marshland to Botswana. When we arrived, the marshland was full of elephants. On the boat tours with our guide Robson, we were able to observe the elephants closely at the crossing of the Linyanti. At the Gamedrive, we also saw lions and a leopard. The lodge includes the househippo Simon and the stag hog Roger. Both of them roam in the darkness between the main house and the tents. The service was good and personal. All the staff were concerned about our well-being.

Intimate lodge with four tents

Want to be close to nature? Not afraid to drive a challenging (4x4 ) road? Perhaps this tented lodge is up your alley. It definitely is in the middels of nowhere in between Namibia and Botswana. Only four tented lodges gives you the feeling of having the place to yourself. 
Sweet people, nice food however it lacked finesse and felt clumsy occasionally. The entire spot deserves an update.

Peaceful

The Jackalberry Tented Camp is very classy!! The camp is beautifully set up in the African style. At night you could hear many animals around the tents, and every morning there were animal trails in the sand. The newly installed small pool provided a welcome refreshment on hot days. The whole team is very friendly and attentive. The tents are very clean, large and beautifully decorated in the African style.

Super camp with a great tree house

Jackalberry Tented Camp  more WOW, romance, wildlife, nature and adventure are not going away. Lions, elephants, leopards and hippos and us in the middle. With one of the coolest rangers ever on our side: Robson. Perfect in tracking and tracking lions. Always good on it, Robson prefers track & trace over GPS. That's exactly what makes a ranger perfect.

Africa is pure adventure!

We really enjoyed our stay at this lodge. I think it is the only accommodation inside the park and there is no fence, so the lodge is open to all the wildlife. Due to some confusion, we arrived unexpected and we were the only guests (there are only 4 tents), but they really went out of their way to accommodate us and even served a delicious dinner. The tents are spacious and very comfortable. There is no electricity, hot water comes from the solar panels. The hot water bottle at night was a very welcome touch. There is a great viewing deck, swimming pool and dining area, cleverly built all around the Jackalberry Tree. Everything happens outdoors. The activities are a bit on the expensive side, but especially the sunset cruise was worth every cent. We loved every minute of it. Our guide was excellent and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Would love to go back some time.

Great lodge inside Nkasa Rupara NP

During my holidays in Nkasa Lupala NP i could visit this incredible lodge situated in a land of beauty. The 4 only beautiful tents are big and well furnished, equipped and decorated. The Italian manager Giorgio is very knowledgeable about wildlife and Namibia and kind person. No one here will come to disturb you, may be wildlife just there for your great pleasure (as elephants but also many birds). Botswana is just near by on the other bank of the river. Food not tested but as per an Italian manage place it shall be very good. 

Beautiful tented lodge in heaven 

The boat trip and game drive with Robson was the highlight of our stay! Food was great. Lodge is beautiful situated in the park!  Love the view from top floor. Room was beautiful with great view. We saw Lechwes and hippos from our room!
