Here is everything one can ask for who enjoys alternative and historical ambiances. The house is lovely; really cozy, quirky and unique. I think most of that can be said about the host too which is suiting. Everything is clean, great range of tv channels, great views...its quiet 
I give this place: "❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️".
I read in an earlier review there were only cookies for breakfast. Thats not true, here is 24/7 full continental breakfast with different fresh bread buns, juices, coffee, liverpastey, cheese, eggs, cornflakes, yoghurt and much more. 
Remember dutch 17century houses have steep high stairs so youd better be able to climb them. No disabled, atrhritis or limping works here.🤓

Of course it's not a hotel like you'd expect. Don't look for a Hilton or a novotel here. Here you're out of time... Kees welcomes you with kindness and good humor. We're at his house but we're at home. Old Dutch building with its steep stairs like justice (to avoid when leaving the coffee shop 😅) But a huge room with a view of the canal, excellent bed, enough comfort and a very good breakfast.

The hotel Adolesce was a nice surprise. The rooms are very large and bright (a rarity in Amsterdam). And always clean. The services are private. The breakfast buffet was available 24 hours a day (never happened in any hotel I visited) you could have a snack at all hours. And coming back late from city visits is a brilliant thing. The owner is available and kind. The hotel is in a decentralized position, but this is an advantage because in the city there is always so much crowds on the street that confuses until late. Here is absolute silence. The rooms have a view of the canal and the beautiful inner garden. Fantastic! I highly recommend it!

Good accommodation in Amsterdam

By the canal, in a quiet place, no overpass traffic. Lovely backyard view for large garden. We had a room on the top floor with its own roof terrace. The terrace is accessed through stairs and a large window. No lift, the stairs to the rooms are very narrow and difficult to get up with luggage. The downstairs reception offers 24-hour food and drinks. Really good location and quality-price ratio.

Comfortable hotel near the center

The hotel is located almost 25/30 minutes from all the sights, even has a subway station at 5 minutes. The excellent service, the spacious room and always clean! It has a buffet that is mainly for breakfast but is available 24 hours a day (Café, Leche, Jugo, Tostadas, Esto, Jamón, Fruits, Cereals, etc.).

This hotel was perfect for a solo female traveler. It was in a safe yet quiet area within easy walking distance to all the major sights (within 20 minutes of the Museum Quarter, Jordaan Neighborhood, Red Light District, Central station.) My room was large, clean and comfortable with great amenities. I would definitely recommend it!

Clean and comfortable spot with canal view

A cozy, warm and characteristic environment. Spacious rooms with a view of the canal. (Except the room on the top floor which has a common bathroom but which is still cheaper than the others and is specified in the description) Self-service breakfast included, great to start the day.

A welcoming environment in an excellent location.

Besides river, close to metro station Waterlooplein (without elevator/escalator) so it would be more suitable for travelers with less luggage, not recommend for people with suitcase.

As its traditional building, authentic design, with great spacious room, but stairs are rather narrow. Must be careful when you were with heavy luggage like us.

Food was fresh although not hot, you can enjoy boiled eggs, bread, sugar waffles, cookies, orange juice and milk in the refrigerator. Fruit like banana is provided as well.

we stayed in the hotel Adolesce for three nights in August , i can not praise this hotel highly enough , the owner is a great guy , very welcoming and friendly , the hotel itself is spotlessly clean and the room was large and comfortable , breakfast and coffee were of a high standard and the location is wonderful

excellent hotel

The reception at the hotel has been wonderful since the first day, although you can access it at any time of the day if you need it, if you have to put a stick on the stairs as they are very narrow and steep and make it difficult to access the rooms, although it should be noted that most are like this in Amsterdam, the neighborhood is very quiet and central to get to any point.
