Our room was on the second floor and we were very comfortable. The bed was large and comfortable. The street where the accommodation is located is quiet so you can rest and is a step away from everything going. If we return to Amsterdam we will certainly repeat it. Breakfast is served at 9, it is correct. Peter is a nice person who advises you and explains the curiosities of the city. The area where the accommodation is located has bars and restaurants. The bathroom is clean, you have everything you need to spend 3 nights in the city perfectly. Communication with the airport is also good because with a direct bus arrives in an hour. In the middle of the city where there is an easy economic place, it is not a good place to eat, but it is a very nice place to stay in the city center.

Great location and very pleasant stay.

We stayed at Peter's since 1634 for 2 nights! It was great! You are in the heart of Amsterdam (Jordan), all the sights are within walking distance, or easily accessible by tram! We had a great room, with charm and something else (no sterile hotel)! Peter is a really great host who served a super breakfast with freshly pressed orange juice! For us it was really 2 great days and we would stay in the since 1634 anytime!

A B&B with charm!

Comfortable room on a quiet street, close to public transportation, the Anne Frank exhibit, the houseboat museum, and a plethora of cafes. Peter will do everything he can to make your Amsterdam experience pleasantly memorable. 

A very good price performer 

Peter is a very nice host, the place is greatly located, the bed is super-comfortable... But I think the room where we stayed has been recently added to the offer and is not really of the same standard as the original one (the one we saw on pictures on the reservation site). Examples: we thought we could get breakfast in the room but there is hardly any space, so we had to go down to the living room; booking.com mentions a mico-wave oven, a little fridge and a kettle - no sight of any of these in the room we stayed in and when I asked if we could use a kettle the host seemed a bit embarrassed, so I did not dare to ask for the rest of it. So basically, the room we stayed in should be cheaper than the one which has all of that which is promised. I was quite disappointed.

good location, service depends on your room (?)

We stayed five days in this bed and breakfast and all in all we found ourselves quite well... fantastic location and typical Amsterdam house. It has two rooms the one on the lower floor is a little bigger. fresh squeezed breakfast, egg, ham, cheese and two hot sandwiches. The owner, Peter, is nice and available... very appreciated the help in bringing luggage up the steep staircase leading to the rooms.

That's a great position.

Great experience!! Peter, the host, is very careful, funny and kind. The B&B location is great, in the middle of Jordaan, one of the best neiborhoods of Amsterdan and near the anne frank museum. The room is clean and the breakfast is very good.

I want to tell you right away that it's not exactly a hotel, it's more like a single-room apartment. (I mean, down here, as you enter, there's something like a guest room with a small kitchen (the same owner works there), on the second floor of the room where you live, well, there's three more rooms where the owner lives. And between the floors there's a screwdrivered bus staircase.) Although they're quite wide, compared to the ones we've met in Belgian apartments. The room has a stretched shape: on the side of the table, a wardrobe for one room, a wardrobe with a microwave and a teapot, on the other side of the entrance to the bathroom.

Apartment for old age

It's not really a hotel. It's a private house with Peter's (the owner's) working room and a small kitchen on the first floor, a guest room on the second floor, and Peter's room on the third floor. There's a narrow, steep, screwed staircase upstairs to lift suitcases. It's a rather old furniture room. It looks like you're 50-70 years ago.

An interesting place and a great host.

We stayed with Peter at Since 1634 for two nights in September, 2013.  The location, room and service was perfect.  Peter is the best host and made us feel extremely welcome in his home.  I would recommend this B&B to anyone who wants the personal touch of a home not a hotel.

 We stayed at the 1634 in Amsterdam and had a great experience! There is only one guest room, which was more like a suite. There was so much room to move around in.  The room is on the second level and up some winding stairs, but not a problem, as Peter the owner, took our luggage up to our room.

The location is great, a short walking distance from the Anna Frank house and the canals.

Peter is a wonderful host. He told us many interesting facts on the city.  He also was very helpful with getting a reservation for dinner. 

We only wish we could have been there for a longer stay. We only had the night of Oct. 5 to stay, as we were leaving on a Viking riverboat trip the following evening.

Breakfast was amazing and delivered to our room. I told Peter that he made the best coffee I had while in Belgium and Amsterdam!!

Do not pass up this little gem in Amsterdam!
