We were just at the restaurant. Great location right on the beach and great view of the North Sea! Service friendly and welcoming. Enough choice of dishes and different types of beer. Indian food excellent! Absolutely to recommend.

Good food with great sea views

No sleeping through the night (drunk teenagers stop at the hotel and party or just pass by ;-) silverfish colonies in the closet!!! disgusting!!! rooms nicely furnished, nice staff except 2 ladies at the reception

We visited Texel Island November 2020 and we decided to stay at the Strand hotel. There was nothing extraordinary with the rooms, they were clean and had comfortable beds. Waking up to the sound of the ocean was relaxing though!
Dinner was nice but breakfast was my favorite! Morning and evening walks on the beach were nice too!

Relaxing ocean sounds

We have just stayed here for a weeks holiday. Incredibly relaxing. 
Great view from ( very clean) room. Dog friendly. 
Lovely breakfast, continental with a daily changing cooked option. 
Friendly staff. 
As the weather wasn’t amazing we hired bikes and toured the island. De Koog is nice and central for this. 
Coffee and appeltaart out on the terrace are a must. 
Will review dinner separately. 

Very relaxing 

For those who enjoy peace, relaxation and being close to nature, and enjoy a warm, family atmosphere, this is the best place to stay. The rooms have all the sea views and balconies, are tastefully maritime and practical, and the house with integrated restaurant offers a comfortable atmosphere. For a small price, you can use the sauna for yourself. The breakfast buffet is always fresh and varied and staff friendly and helpful. The De Koog place with shopping and restaurants is 5-10 minutes away and I love the beach and the sea right at the door. I will go to this hotel and, if possible, drive there often, even if it is not the cheapest price. But vote /Learn absolutely.

Dream Hotel in the middle of the dunes right by the sea

The location of the beach hotel is simply not to be overlooked by northern sea lovers. It is located right on the sea above the dunes. The hotel is modernly furnished in rustic style. The rooms are clean. The breakfast is good and varied.

Best location on Texel

Super friendly hotel - beautiful location at the beach. Great restaurant. Comfortable rooms. Attentive staff. Had a lovely stay here - will definitely return in the future. Dogs welcome in the hotel and dining room. It seemed that everybody had a dog when we were there - which is lovely. Really helpful staff. The hotel is quite literally at the beach - barely 1 minute until you are on the sand. Cannot fault the location.

Love this place - great for dog owners

One week we were guests at the hotel. The location is great, from all the rooms and guest rooms you have a view of the sea. A few steps and you have the sand under your feet. Our room was nice. The bathroom was very nice. The bed was a little too hard. The room had basket chairs as a seating arrangement, which look nice but are not very comfortable. We also make noises when the other wants to search. I missed a foot mat in front of the bed. Because the fine sand is naturally found everywhere. I missed a TOP rating because I gave the bathroom in the morning. When we left, there were flowers on the table.

Very good location... but...

On the northwestern coast of the island of Texel, the hotel is directly on the beach. The beachfront rooms have a balcony and offer a sublime view of the North Sea. Comfortable rooms decorated with excellent blue bedding nice bathroom. The restaurant offers quality local products (fish, beef, lamb, cheese) and the staff is very friendly, from service agents to the manager to the restaurant servers. Of course it's better to speak Dutch but with a little English you do very well and everyone puts their own. Finally, let's not forget the small lunches that are lavish!

The beach, nature, comfort in simplicity, we all like this hotel where we come back regularly

The suites at the North Sea Hotel are super-located and spacious. The kitchen is furnished top. The beds are good but very soft. The bathroom is top. The living room is furnished with antique furniture. Unfortunately there was an old chair that had large holes in the fabric. The sofa was also very pale and stained from the fabric. These seating furniture had to be replaced sometime. For a five-star accommodation with high prices, the furniture should be fine, even if it is antique.
