I’d give this 10 stars if I could.  What a gem of a B&B.  Wish our stay could be longer but unfortunately no availability beyond our dates. Gusta the owner and host is friendly, courteous, considerate, helpful and professional.  She rents out two beautiful bedroom suites in her huge house that she lives with her grown family and two dogs.  My wife, adult daughter and I rented these two rooms for two nights.  The two rooms rented out are self contained and come with beautiful and tasteful decorations complete with new, modern high end bathrooms.  Privacy is assured with no interactions with the host and her family.  You also have the use of the beautiful garden and the breakfast/living room.  The house is beautiful and is in a very expensive high end area of Haarlem.  The neighborhood is quiet and gorgeous with a beautiful pond across from the house.  Gusta makes a nice and simple breakfast for you and serves them in the breakfast room.  Btw, Haarlem, for which the Harlem in New York City is named after, is a 15 minute train ride from the heart of Amsterdam or a 35-40 minute bus ride away.  The bus stop from the house is only a 10 minute walk and the train station is about a 25 minute walk.  Trains go everywhere from Haarlem.  It is a great town with lots of shops, even more nice restaurants and a vibrant town square with outdoor cafes.  I’d highly recommend staying in Haarlem over Amsterdam.  I travel for a living and have been doing so for 30 + years.  BBB Haarlem is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. I’d stay here over a Ritz or Four Seasons but cost much more. Bed and Breakfast as you wish. Beautiful very well maintained 100-year-old house in a great location in Haarlem. From the first second the hostess gives you a feel-good experience. With the bike that you get free, you are in 10 minutes in the great old town of Haarlem. On the sea you can go with the bike in 20 minutes! We had a very nice room on the first floor, overlooking the very beautiful garden. The summer is tasty and beautifully decorated, keep feeling good. We really like it again, but you have to book early, we couldn't book anything more for the next week, for example, very popular and you know when you get there early why!!

Bed & Breakfast - The finest!

Very nice. The room is very large and very nicely decorated. The hosts are super nice and are always available for any questions. Breakfast is super delicious. Hair is worth a visit. We would always book a room here.

This property is located in a quiet and beautiful setting. Close by there is a pancake house on the edge of a park. 

We stayed here for three nights in the double room with a shower. The room itself was spacious with two seats and table. The bed was so comfortable and the best bit was separate duvets so I didn't have to play tug-of-war with my husband. I had great sleep to the point I went back to bed after breakfast.

The breakfast room was lovely. It was November and having the fire there as you eat was a lovely touch. The breakfast itself was fresh and we couldn't get enough. We were always given the option of having more. 

In the breakfast room are games and we one day stayed in there on a rainy day just playing games. 

We loved this place so much that we are going back again in May.

Home from home bliss

We stayed here as a couple for 3 nights. The house is in a beautiful location with a park nearby, not too far to walk to the city centre. We were using our car and there is safe and plentiful parking outside the house. The house is large and very tastefully decorated. The breakfast was superb and the whole place was spotless. We felt very welcome and enjoyed out stay.
