We felt so welcomed here. Cozy, functional, and good location. The breakfast in the morning was plentiful, delicious, and different every day. 

The best accommodation we had all trip! Thanks for the wonderful stay, Het Vogelhuis. We will always remember this little BnB in Leiden ☺️

10/10 visit!

We (a young group of three friends) felt very comfortable at Het Vogelhuis, enjoyed the little breakfast (although we'd prefer less packaging) and had a nice time in Leiden. Thank you for welcoming us and being so flexible with check-in time.

Cosy apartment with 15 minutes walk to the city center

I spent various 4-night stays over March and April 2019 for business in Leiden. I am coming back in May as well. This is an excellent spot in town, fantastic hosts friendly and very relaxed, the place is super clean, very good price, very comfortable rooms, value for money.

An excellent stay

The rooms were very clean and quiet, the beds were good quality. Good full breakfast. Jan was very accommodating and was always there when we needed him. Personally, we didn't have any use but the kitchen was very well equipped.

We were made so welcome at this beautiful little b&b. Facilities were excellent, very compact but perfectly functional. For us this was a great location to see everything we wanted to visit but not too far out of the city to walk to it. Great birdlife in the surrounding area too.

Perfect 

I have been commuting for 4 years from Italy to Leiden for a 3-day stay here every week, for work, and I have chosen this B&B as “my Vogelhuis” in the Netherlands. This is not just a clean and comfortable place for professionals but also the ideal location as the basis for excursions anywhere in the Netherlands; it is located a few minutes’ walk from the railway station in a quiet area in front of a small park. I have tried all the three rooms available for the guests; all three are large and comfortable, with fast internet connection, a modern private bathroom. A huge breakfast is served next to the room; otherwise, a well-equipped kitchen is available and a mini garden gives the availability to stay out in summer. However, the most important reason for staying here is the exquisite hospitality of Jan and Wim which makes me feel at home when I am here in “my room”.

Excellent address in a charming and picturesque city that is really worth visiting! room, bathroom of very high cleanliness (beautiful decoration ), kitchen available if needed, perfect breakfast (egg, charcuterie, cheese, fresh fruit...), warm welcome. We went to Leiden on foot (20 minutes walk). Everything was beyond our expectations! We would have stayed longer if our programme had allowed us to! Thank you for this good time! We hope to return one day!

Unless you want to visit the northern area of Leiden, it is ideal for driving to visit the Netherlands. The exceptional and quiet accommodation. You will feel like at home a cozy treat and excellent breakfast. Definitely choice 10.

Ideal for visiting the Netherlands in the morning.

In June, we spent a few days in beautiful Suffering. Het Vogelhuis is a really to recommend B&B. Our room was beautifully and conveniently furnished and our morning breakfast was really lavish, delicious and lovingly prepared. The two operators are very hospitable and always have a tip ready. Overall, it was a very good decision to host both the price-performance ratio and the hospitality in the Vogelhuis.
