I have stayed here on several occasions, mostly business - but I could easily recommend it for pleasure as well. Nice rooms, suitable conference rooms, and an intimate and nice atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Best thing? The food - local short-travelled ingredients, cooked with passion - resulting in amazing meals.

Superb

I was here for a conference/workshop and the Skaslien owners and staff made everything so easy. My requests were accommodated. The rooms are charming, high speed internet and connected to the global world. The food alone is worth the trip and when requested a red wine -they served Malbec, which is one of my favourites. From the hotel we went for a walk passed fields near the river. The area has exquisite glass making. I will be sad to leave. 
There are no elevators but the staff assisted with the luggage so it wasn't an issue at all

Charming, accomodating in a beautiful part of Norway

We so much enjoyed our stay at the Skaslien Hotel & Guesthouse. The staff was wonderful and the restaurant was the best. The menu in the restaurant was complete and offer many savory offerings.  Thank you for the friendly hospitality.

Very good food! High quality. Local supply and organic food. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Beds comfortable. Dogs welcome. We had out two with us and worked fine. We have been here before and would happily go here again.

Fantastic food

We spent one night at the Skaslien Hotel. The rooms are modern and conveniently furnished, everything was very clean! The dinner was really very good, someone here knows his craft. Breakfast is also very good....the choice is really enough! Here is homemade bread ! 😋 delicious! Absolutely recommended!!

On the way...

A local and cosy hotel that you should not drive by. Stop and at least try the Food. The staff is really Nice and helpful. The Food is really good and typical Norwegian. The local beer is a little tame. Nice outdoor facilities and garden. There are also Conference facilities.

Local and cosy

It's on the way to Hamar. and it's a very nice guesthouse, typical of Norway, in the village. We went to celebrate my sister and brother-in-law. The dinner, excellent!! my husband is a vegetarian, and it's the best meal in restaurants.

We stayed at the hotell for my friends wedding that toc Place in a Place nerby.
Great service, didn`t try the dinner but apperntly the Food there is great. Breakfast is simple but ok. Beds in the room ar a little bit too small for my taste but ok size of the rooms.

Nice hotell in a little place

Our first stop in Norway took us to Kirkenaer. We were welcomed to the hotel, the rooms are in good condition and very clean. We had half boarding, the dinner was rich with three aisles and very tasty. The same goes for breakfast. Can we recommend.

Tour of Norway

We visited the hotel at the beginning of our tour of Norway and spent the first of 14 nights there. The room offered enough space and was very clean except for a few dust surges. The sliding door to the bathroom, which does not close completely, is unfortunately a bit annoying. Breakfast was served from 6:30 to 10:00 a.m. Since (presumably) there were few guests there, we could enjoy breakfast in peace. The buffet was small but varied. For an intermediate stop, the hotel is very suitable, but you could also spend several nights here without problems.
