The proprietor for our recent booking for 28 September at Visit Undredal did not reach us with details on our lodging until we were forced to find other accommodations due to the lateness of the hour (after 9pm the night of our arrival). We feel we are owed a refund since they did not provide a room in a timely manner. We have yet to receive a refund.

Alas, they never provided a room

Excellent and spacious apartment by the waterfront, just outside the main village. Modern and comfortable with a host who is easily reachable and helpful. The views from the front and outside are amazing, and all we could hear were distant waterfalls and birds singing. Would recommend Undredal over Flam, the latter being more of a port stop. I note that it's a shame a couple of the negative reviews on here are actually for a different accommodation.

So peaceful and scenic

The hotel itself is one of them! I can't say anything about the hotel itself, since it was a drive-through, but the restaurant itself is chic - I managed to get lunch there. The dishes are varied and incredibly tasty, especially Norwegian fish soup, the restaurant has places under the roof, and there are open spaces, like water ports, it's best to enjoy delicious food and great views at the same time. The staff are polite and welcoming, we were pleasantly surprised that the compatriots served us, so there were no problems.

A cozy little place with paradise scenery

One of the main destinations for me was this village with 100 inhabitants and 500 goats.Not many years ago it was accessible only via water.It has a long history, many typical dishes and is famous for its brown cheese.

A charming village.

We just completed a stay at Undredal Guesthouse which we booked as it was the only place left in the Flåm area on the night of our stay. 

As others have noted the town is quaint and the view of the fjord is amazing. The room itself, however, leaves a lot to be desired. 

The entire place was very old and hasn’t been updated in quite some time. The shower area was filthy and run down, akin to a hostel. 

Surprisingly the bed was comfortable but you are literally right next to (or on) a campground and on top of people right outside your windows. 

The place was also very expensive compared to what we perceived as nicer properties during our week plus stay in Norway. We paid just under $200USD per night for something that shouldn’t be charging more than $100 a night. 

This place has a ton of potential it is just long past due for an update. They either need to lower the cost so expectations are tempered or update the property. 

Beautiful Town, Accommodation Falls Short

We stayed overnight in Undredal and rented our cabin at Visit Undredal. A huge, real house, with rooms, kitchen, just a bathroom and a huge open room, dining and being all together. In the room, all the glass walls facing the fjord.

Pleasant

Me and my family had an amazing stay with Visit Undredal. One of our stays in Norway. The house was absolutely great, the views, I only can say: "Wow". It felt really nice to be in such a calm place watching the fjord and the ocean and it really was a experience to live. 
Apart from that, the host was incredibly helpful with us, allowing us to reserve last minute (and also late) due to a problem in our previous reservation, but they waited for us and were totally nice about it. 
Important! Don't miss the great goat cheese that they sell in the shop! :)
Summarizing, super recommended stay in Undredal!

Amazing views and great apartment!

The apartment was very spacious, well furnished, equipped with everything necessary to cook and above all very clean! The staff were very kind to help us and provide us with all the information and support we needed. The view from the living room window is really priceless: you have the feeling of being directly on the fjord! Even the village is very nice, it will surely be more lively in high season. I recommend this structure for those who love peace and want to stay in a friendly environment in contact with nature.

A jewel among the fjords!

The apartment was the highlight of my Norwegian trip! The holiday homes are somewhat hidden, you have to pass by the church in Undredal (there is a vehicle-forbidden sign, don't let it irritate you!) between two goat stalls and a little outside then the houses are. The apartments are huge and offer everything you need. Well-equipped kitchen, large bathroom with floor heating and bathtub. The absolute highlight of apartment No. 1 is the terrace and the large panorama window. There I could have sat for hours in the showroom seats and enjoyed the panorama on the fjordesa. The apartments are absolutely savory after the day and the one-on-one and here is fast and easy. It was really nice to get out of the fjord, and he wanted to make a full-fledged tour of the fjord.

It's beautiful, right by the fjord.

We did not stay right in Undredal on the fjord (so I cannot rate those accommodations) but in one of the related rentals in the Valley which was lovely and comfortable. But the village is so beautiful, picturesque, and off the beaten path, that alone would make this an attractive spot for an overnight (or a few!). We spent quite a bit of time walking around the little village and enjoying the views.
