Hotel on the beach of corong corong facing the sunset. the staff is very welcoming. however, the bungalow is very small, there is nothing to put your luggage inside, the bathroom is tiny and no soundproofing. you hear everything that is happening in the mitoen bungalow...

The best welcome of our entire stay in the Philippines. We even sympathized with the girls and laughed with them. The cottage is typical, no air conditioning but the fan is enough.

A typical hotel, well located, quiet

I was welcomed by such kind staff. My room was very very clean. The views from my cottage was priceless and very calm. Laundry service was available and clothes were very clean and neatly folded. Break fast was very nice and satisfying. Service was excellent and available 24 hrs. The staff cared for us and I felt like home the staff are so friendly there and helpful .. can't be more grateful for choosing Talindak. Perfect for travellers and also for a family vacation.. I felt very safe as the area was always watched even at night time.. I can't thank the staff enough.. thank you Talindak for an amazing experience. Will visit again 😊

Unforgettable Experience

As a mature couple on an average to modest budget we're neither the backpacker nor the five star with all the trimmings group. We have travelled extensively around Asia and Europe and aren't afraid to rough it from time to time depending on value and ambience of a place. Rarely do we write bad reviews but felt compelled to share some views about our time at Talindak. We cut our stay short.

1. This place is totally run down and appears to have had no maintenance carried out on the property for many many years or since the place was built. Incredibly shabby, tired and broken in many ways. Rex, the person who appeared to be in charge was pleasant, very accommodating and you could see, he was embarrassed for the way things, were here.

2. The photos on the internet are not a true indication and we consider them misleading. Especially showing two kayaks and suggesting they are available for use. There was only one and you couldn't use it because it had a hole/leak. 
Our bathroom door was falling off its hinges and had a big hole where the handle should have been. We were in a family room with Seaview. The handle unit sat on one of the spare beds. We were told by staff it had been broken and like this for ages.
3. Any reference that it's on a nice beach - Corong Corong - don't believe it! 
It's crowded with boats parked up on the sand and in the water. The beach is dirty and littered, the water is filthy and neither of us would swim in it even if you paid us. 
Forever looking for a positive - the sunsets were beautiful and in this light the beach looked gorgeous as did the boats we complained about as silhouettes. 
4. Entrance to this establishment. Thank goodness our tricycle driver knew where to go... there is no defined path. You walk down a skinny muddy lane with a twist and a turn here and there to get to the entrance. Again nothing appealing about it. Thank goodness we arrived in daylight - you most certainly would wonder where you would end up had you tried to find this place in the dark for some reason.
5. If you like the sound of electric tools, trucks, diggers, yelling workmen, hammering, roosters crowing and dog fights and think like we did you really want to be on the beach front then by all means check it out but never again would we stay here or recommend this place. At present there is construction happening on all adjacent properties and a boat being built on the beach very close by.
The beach is riddled with dogs and their fights. We love animals and have nothing against dogs but the place has too many roaming around.
6. They advertise free wifi but seriously, it's slower than the old fashioned dial up when it works. If it's not working check that they have paid the bill. 
7. Our booking said it included breakfast. Again what a joke! For our first breakfast we ordered omelette. What came out was totally disgusting - sitting in a pool of oil so dreadful we refused to eat it. They did offer to make another but the appetite was gone. In the end we decided the only way to accept breakfast of some degree was to have our eggs boiled but the cardboard bread was sweet and obviously full of sugar.
8. The power supply was intermittent and mainly off for the last 24 hours of our stay. Not the resorts fault but they do have a generator - and maybe no diesel. Around 7.30pm we had to ask the staff to please put the generator on so we could have some light to have a shower. No power meant no air conditioning or fan. We can survive without either no problem but when you've paid for it and they don't use their generator you feel cheated.
9. The bathroom drain stunk. Cold water only which we expected but no shower, just buckets and a tap at waist height. The toilet was squeezed in right beside the shower area. Like many Asian toilet, there was another tap with a nozzle situated between the shower and the toilet but again at a low height.

We been travelling for just over a month in Palawan and for - NZD$70.00 a night this place has to be by far the biggest disappointment and rip off we have encountered.

Our Honest Description of this Sad Neglected Property

The place is not well maintained. Showers are not working. The water is very dirty and smells like a dead rat.

The free breakfast is good though but you have to wait for the staff because they wake up late.

Very Bad Experience!

I like the place sooo much! Not only that it's affordable but is also cozy and the people, they are very accommodating. I can't think of something I dont like on the place. It was raining hard when we had our tour and kuya the asawa of the may ari provided us options. Thumbs up you guys! Plus, it's beach front. If you wake up early in the morning, you'll get to enjoy the sandbar. 😉

Review

You don't pay a lot and you get a decent room for it: very basic but clean and a good breakfast.

Point is that the entire place is very small and you don't want to spend your entire day over there (while we did spend an entire day reading books etc. at other places): it just doesn't have enough ambiance. However, it's also a bit remote from El Nido so you don't walk in and out easily, making it bit difficult to be super enthusiastic about this place. Also, we met far more friendlier staff at other locations (though they were't rude or something, just not very nice).

Good, but there are far better places in El Nido

We spent 3 nights in this cottage. The setting is very friendly whereas the bungalow we had was very small, very poorly soundproofed and without hot water (a common thing in the Philippines). The price was 1200 php with a breakfast included not very comfortable for large eaters but served on the bungalow terrace if desired. Purified water not available for purchase but friendly and arranging staff. Only 40 php in El Nido tricycle.

Nice staff but very small bungalow

We stayed 2 nights at Talindak beach cottages, deluxe double room practically on the beach. Hotel away from the main road leading to El Nido, so we had no problem with the noise of the road. However, the Coqs sing regularly during the night. Clean room and quite brief yet. Very welcoming and pleasant staff, who will not hesitate to help you if needed. Nice seafront lunch (pancake with banana). Good price ratio.

Hotel/cottage very well located 10 minutes tricycle drive from El Nido on Corong Corong Beach which is actually the best place to stay. Delicious surrounding restaurants, beach bar, away from the bustle of El Nido. All tours are accessible from Corong Corong. Extraordinary sunset. Not too much opportunity to swim in front of the hotel but you will bathe in the lagoons all day long Hotel very quiet, comfortable, simple, air conditioned, safe.
