I stayed the night of 18 & a few hours on 27 April 2017 in Moana. This hotel located a few steps from the airport was charming with its swimming pool, its low prices and ideal before boarding for a safari to Tubbataha reef. Only here, for a while it has not been maintained at all. All by abandonment, the colour of the pool water would discourage you from dipping just a foot away. All the rooms are no longer maintained and have problems with faulty sanitation, ventilating hills or out of use.

Absolutely avoid it!

It is located 130 meters from the airport so was perfect for us because we stayed for one night. Rooms are basic but clean and confortable. We used the swimming pool and it was so nice as the day was so hot. We eat dinner and breakfast; one word: WOW!
Definitely going back when in Puerto Princesa.

Basic, nice and great food

Very near to the Airport, the food is for sure the best in Puerto Princesa, the staff is very polite and helpfull, the rooms are clean and beautiful, there is free WiFi, the indoor swimming Pool is small but clean and cute. They have a choice of nice Italian Wine , the prices are affordable. They have a good DiveCenter with avery polite staff.

Amazing Food, Nice Rooms, Excellent Diving service .

Didn't stay at the hotel but went diving with them. First of all it's very expensive, go to Port Barton where you will have a better experience for less.
The dive master didn't offer much guidance, just took us to the dive site and pretty much left us to it. The boat is very small and doesn't cope well with choppy water, make sure you bring a dry bag if you have anything you want to protect from the waves! We also had to wait around a lot for a car to take us to the beach and for a dive master to arrive for the other group. We met at the hotel at 7 am but didn't begin diving until past 9.

Sub-par dive operator

It is not a luxury hotel, but suitable for a holiday of people who do not want to spend too much but want to be well and relaxed. A great place for an underwater holiday, diving people are good and competent. the rooms are suitable for the living room, clean, comfortable and comfortable, made of wood.

Great kitchen, clean and comfortable rooms.

We made a last minute booking as we needed a place just to stay/sleep for a morning flight. We phoned to make a room reservation with no problems, as simply just asked for the cheapest room at Php1,250. 

It's fairly easy to locate even arriving past midnight, and the security guard gave us our room keys. 

Pros:
- a few short minute walk to Puerto Princesa airport
- cleanliness .. I think i would say it was averagely ok.

Cons 
- though the price is fairly cheap, I think you can find newer accommodations nearby for the same price range. I would say that this hotel has seen better days.
- it was past midnight but we can still here loud music from I guess is a karaoke place behind, though as soon as we switched on the air conditioning it was really loud enough to drown outside noise

Value option near airport

It's not really a bad location on the main road, but the facility is so close to the airport that you can see every flight at the airport, including the thinnest mattresses of the entire holiday. The highlight of the evening was when the frogs took over the pool after dark and gave their concert loudly until sunrise.

Good for airplane fans

it's an old hotel, with a small pool that gets sunlight till about 3pm. the rooms are old but clean, the staff is helpful, efficient, and friendly. it's a two-minute walk from the airport, and it's diagonally across from good restaurants (i.e. la terrasse). but most of all, moana hotel serves the best anchovy pizzas in the philippines . there is a pizza place in sabang, puerto galera that comes close but there is something with the quality of the dough and the tomato base here at the moana that makes their pizza's extra special. a recent addition of lights on the big acacia trees out on the avenue makes the place look extra special at night.

value + delicious pizza = 4/5

3 nights spent here to finish our trip to the Philippines before we went home. A rather good surprise overall. Quality report really good price. No hot water for standard room but not very annoying. The only regret would be about the little dej which is not extra considering the price offered. Otherwise the setting is nice, staff charming, room made every day, easy to book tours around Puerto, efficient wifi, 15 minutes walk from the city center.

good experience

We were at the Moana Hotel twice. The first time the room was fine, we had the room on the right side of the pool, everything was fine. Unfortunately, there was a loud party next door all night instead of robbing us of sleep. It was unbearable, although I don't want to include it in the rating, so to speak. After our first stay, I would have given the resort a good rating. But then came our second night, we booked online and got a room on the left side (on the street). It was just awful. Everything was folded up and we had our whole uneven night in total pain.
