We did struggle to find the property which is off a very busy main road. We stayed in the larger of the 3 lodges as there were 4 of us. The lodge needed a little tlc but we only spent one night so it was ok. Definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as stairs very steep. No door on smaller bedroom. Also no cooker only a microwave or shared bbq and no facility to eat locally only breakfast. The main building does have rooms which looked very modern and clean. Communication was difficult but we managed. The lady (owner) was lovely and attentive at breakfast and breakfast was very good. 

Ok for an overnight stay

I visited this facility as a member of research team making experiments nearby. We wanted quiet, not expensive and as nice as possible place to stay close to Torun. Zakatek Lesny proofed to be a very good choice. The owners were very helpful both during booking and during our stay. We have got three charming houses (each for 4 persons) and two rooms. The houses are nicely decorated, with two separate bedrooms upstairs. The ground floor room has fire place so we had nice smell of burning wood that I like very much. On the ground floor there is also a kitchen annex and bathroom. Prices are reasonable and breakfast was good.

Very nice place to stay

Nestled well-off the beaten path amid the forest, 16 km from old Torun, yet close to the main highway and a quick ride in, Zakatek Lesny is a beautiful little hideaway perfect for those who favor the sound of birdsong over the bustle of town.  While I made do without a car (the proprietor was so kind that she took me into town a couple of times) it's definitely one of those places where you should have transportation.  A taxi fare from the train station here is between 50-60 Zloty (US$12-18), so round-trips can add up fast.  Plus, it takes a while for taxies to GET there.   I did not stay in one of the A-frame lodges across the road, but in one of the simple, single rooms.  It was just the basics, but clean and well-attended.  The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful.  The best part about this property (other than the location in the woods) is the BREAKFAST, which was a rather surprisingly huge array of fresh Polish fare, including the town's legendary ginerbread and hive-fresh honey.  There's a comfy couch and table in front where you can nod off (if it's warm enough) to the sounds of forest animals.  A real bargain for the money, BUT - if you really want proximity to the action, you need to choose one of the city-center hotels.

A QUIET WALK IN THE WOODS

A hotel with a few rooms and 3 bungalows for 4 people in a forested area, with terraces and swingers, warm and family-friendly accommodation. We stayed there for 2 nights and had a bungalow and a room. Rustic but sanitary in good condition and clean. Breakfast on the terrace in the middle of the trees is a real happy moment. There is even a barbecue and a fireplace.
