I liked the pleasant helpful staff that makes you feel at home. Moreover they speak good English. The hostel is at an excellent location close to the bus station and near Biedronka and Lidl supermarkets. There is a well-equipped kitchen and the hostel has a pleasant traditional ambiance. The facilities such as a hot shower and WiFi are okay. The hostel is kept clean and -though old- is generally well-maintained. Coffee, tea and other niceties (plums and cookies) are included in the price. More space than in other hostels in Zakopane.
Stayed four nights.

Would appreciate better pillows and a head lamp near the bed.

Pleasant and convenient

This hostel is perfect to relax and be prepared to explore Tatras Mountains; it´s quiet, friendly and rustic. It´s in an old and cozy house, made by wood. Rooms are big, there are good options: eight, four or three beds dorm. Great staff. In summer is better stay there then in a crowded refuge at the mountains. No parties and no alcohol allowed.

Quiet and confortable

All around you in the hostel is wood: so cool, so authentic. Perfect for holidays but not to long.
I was in a 6 beds dormitory and the matress was super super thin and not comfy at all. Despite that, i ve hiked a lot so at the end of the day i ve fell asleep quickly. 2 nights was ok or maybe try others rooms for next time ;)
I got my breakfast (bread, butter, jam, cheese, bacon) downstairs every day, not a big place but so cute, tidy and perfectly clean


Wood

Beautiful hostel with a warm wooden interior. Also has a very nice terrace with a nice view upstairs. We stayed here for two days before heading off to the Tatra mountains for a two day long hike. The very friendly lady at the desk helped us translate some websites and hiking maps so we could prepare our hike. Thanks a lot!

Very nice hostel!

The house is just lovely, old, wooden and charming. But it squeaks so much at night it woke us several times. It needs serious refurbishing and renovation. Breakfast is poor (white bread, butter, some ham and cheese, cereal), kitchen is well equipped though if you wish to cook on your own. Breakfast is served from 7 a.m.which is great if you leave to the mountains early. 
Torn bedsheets and curtains, not quite clean bathroom and the room. Available personal lockers. Staff rather helpful, very polite and nice. However one girl just didn't know stuff, e.g.couldn't recommend any restaurant for breakfast outside or didn't know how long it takes to get to Morskie Oko.

Two nights are enough

I recommend this hotel only for people who travel with a backpack on their backs, it's very cheap and the service is pretty good. PERO! as I said, I think it's a backpack, the rooms are shared, there are four and I went with a friend and we slept in a room with eight more people, but it's no inconvenience, on the contrary, it's a way to meet more people! especially to organize some trip by zakopane or to go to the ski resort.

De mochilero is 100% free.

This is traditional Zakopane architecture house located 5 minutes walk away from Kruwpoki street and Bus stration. Good location, frendly staff, very clean and tidy. Free breakfast (ham, cheese,butter, Nutella, toast bread, juice, milk, cereals, jams, coffee and tee). Amazing common kitchen with all amenities. Perfect place for budget tourist. Free luggage room and tea&coffee.

Authentic style

There's an old, old hostel in old Zapane with old, uncomfortable beds and old, old bedding, but if you have a 500-dollar table for a night, who cares about these bedding beds?! Plus huge free parking. And very responsive staff. P.S. Don't forget to bring your towel on your trip.

The old, old, colorful field.

There's a big locker where you can leave things before checking or after checkout while you wait for a bus. There's a bus to the mountains, by the way, very close. There's a shop across the street. There's internet, hot tubs, a locker that can hold a big backpack. For a bigger traveler, you don't have to book in advance and pay for a ticket. I had to send a payment by international transfer from Russia, which increased the travel budget.

A wonderful hostel in a national style.

We stayed one night in zakopane and specifically in this hotel. it is a very nice wooden hostel. shared bathroom and kitchen. although we went in summer it is the typical accommodation for skiing or skiing!!! what makes the note low is that one of the saunas was rotten and well-groomed... it gave a bit of grimace!!!! the breakfast for me taste scarce. the friendly people. it is a little far from downtown although it is also not a large town.
