Despite the quality of the structure and the rooms, the proximity to the historic centre, the possibility of large parking spaces on the street and, above all, the fabulous price, make it an excellent accommodation.

Great location at great price

The facility is located in the immediate vicinity of the Sao Sebastiao aqueduct, the botanical garden and the staircase leading to the university pole square. Although it is a twenty-minute walk from the center, it offers the convenience of a large area reserved for parking, the entrance gate of which is closed at night.

Dignity of establishment

Very high ceilings in the room, bit outdated. The bathroom was clean, mind the step up to the toilet. This place is very close to the university and not far from the market place. There is parking on the street outside or over the road in a vacant lot.
The staff in reception are extremely helpful. We asked directions to drive out of the city and, not only did the person on duty in the afternoon write down how to drive to the main road, but told us to follow him and he showed us the way. We would never have found our way out so quickly.  Good place to stay over night.

Great location near University!

Nice and warm welcome. Clean room and bathroom. Hotel a little noisy because phonically little or no sound (you hear everything going on) Just to sleep there no more.

This hotel is a bit outdated and needs to be refurbished. The bed was very uncomfortable; we could feel the bedsprings. The staff attendant was nice and happily changed the room for us. The hotel is close to the university in a quiet neighborhood.  No breakfast is included. Free parking on the street.

Cheap hotel, clean

We stopped one night in this old fashioned but cute pensao/pension. Quiet area. Very near to the University.  Big room with high ceilings. Very clean. The bathroom was somewhat small and oldish but functional. Highly recommended ! 

Cycling on the Camino de Santiago

It's an old building with dark furniture and, for me, oppressive. It still has its charm and seems to have gone back in time. It's a very kind owner. It's a good location but not very central. It's close to a park that should definitely be visited. It's not equipped with an elevator. Very convenient, for those traveling by car, private parking. For a one-night stop, it's more than fine!

It's a suggestive home, but a little bit bitter.

Located near the University, this boarding house has retained an outdated charm. Large room, high ceiling make a return in time to the client. The reception and advice are remarkable. No elevator, which leads to considerable effort if you are on the second floor. Private parking in front of this boarding house is free and the pastry shop located two steps away is a great address for breakfast or more. Very good price ratio for this boarding house.

A welcoming old hotel

The treatment in the hostel has been good and the situation improved, but as far as the facilities are concerned, it has gone from being a charming place to being old-fashioned. The beds are uncomfortable, the antiquated furniture (that no vintage, antiquado tal cual), the doors close badly and the bathrooms (I had to share it) could be renovated.

Good deal but the hostel is very old.

Good location near the college and the old city. The room was a bit dated, but was clean, and the staff was very helpful and courteous. If you are not used to walking, I would suggest a cab ride from the train or bus station.
