we are a mature couple who spent a wonderful week in Vila Gale in October. The hotel was spotless and the saff were very accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was lovely and we got our pot of tea every morning from the staff.  Carla was the perfect manager and always had time for a little chat and gave us great guidance on Estoril. She is a huge addition to the hotel and we hope to meet with her again when we holiday in Vila Gale. Highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful and well worth a visit

I had a pleasant 4 night stay. The location was excellent and the staff friendly. A special thank you to Manuel at breakfast who was very helpful and friendly - a lovely welcome first thing in the morning! 

Good stay

I stayed in Vila Galé for about a mouth for work purposes and I think, overall, it was a great experience. The location is great, right next to Estoril train station and the hotel is modern, clean and in perfect conditions. The food was quite good, the buffet at the restaurant offered a several different dinner options from starter courses to desserts. The staff was kind and professional, impeccable service.

Great experience

This is definitely not a four star hotel. The staff were not friendly (or helpful) and the rooms lacked basic amenities such as cream, conditioner, no iron, etc  (things you would expect from a four star). 

Lastly, I left my very expensive headphones in my room (which shows me via the find my device app).  When called, they simply said they're not there and made zero effort to check..this is something a shady hotel would do. 

I would highly recommend booking another hotel/bed and breakfast in the area. So many other great choices for the cost.

Really Poor Experience

The Staff are second to none,every single member is a credit to the company.
Don’t normally leave reviews unless it’s something special or awful.
Keep up the good work and sometimes it’s worth spending that little extra to get the quality I’m experiencing

Sheffield United pre season friendly

Very well situated, 40 minutes by train (5 EU) from Lisbon and Sintra, a historic city to visit. The staff are warm, always willing to help us, make recommendations. The train station is opposite the hotel and the sea is 2 minutes walk away but the water was cold. This is an exceptional quality price ratio.

What a wonderful discovery

Overall experience of the hotel was one of friendliness, cleanliness and lovely food.  We travelled with a tour and found consistency in all aspects of this hotel which was also in a good location.  Staff couldn't have been more accommodating with requests in particular the GM and Karla in the restaurant.  Thank you very much for making our holiday so enjoyable!

Happy holiday

Just completed a two week stay at the Vila Galé Estoril hotel and as many of the reviews have emphasized, it is the staff that make your experience most enjoyable.  The receptionists were all very friendly and helpful.  The room was clean, the single beds were just satisfactory.  Rooms with an ocean view are lovely but traffic noise can be disruptive.  The breakfast buffet has a good variety of foods.(thank you Mr. Manual Inacio!) The hotel restaurant, Massa Fina, is excellent and we particularly enjoyed the Smoked Salmon Pizza!  Again, the staff was wonderful!  The hotel location, near the train station, is convenient for travelling to Lisbon, if they aren’t on strike. Walking along the ocean promenade is special.

Good Hotel and a pleasant stay

Three friends and I stayed for a long golfing weekend.  The hotel was comfortable and my room clean with a fantastic shower. What made the stay especially enjoyable was being looked after Carla in the bar.  She was very helpful and gave us a great fish restaurant in Cascais. All in all a very pleasant stay.

My family and I (7 people) went to have our Christmas Lunch at the restaurant of Hotel Vila Galé Estoril. Around 1:30 p.m. we were informed that the goat (which was part of the buffet from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.) had ended. Some of the employees showed themselves inflexible about the subject, saying that it was this way and point. We complained and it was Carla Neves who resolved the situation promptly. Carla Neves was of a remarkable professionalism, attention, care and availability. It was Carla Neves's willingness to solve that helped and so much that we had a Lunch where we felt welcomed, respected and cared for as customers. Congratulations to Carla Neves and that her career is progressing well for all of 2023!
