We arrived in September, so it may be in the middle of the season. Very nice welcome. A nice lunch, especially with housewares. Large rooms and even if the furniture is a little outdated, we enjoyed our stay in this small hotel and will return without hesitation.

Three nights in faial

After 1 night stay we made check out and search for another solution. Noisy room on the street, everything is too old, run-down, smelly. You really feel uncomfortable in this place. I want to write this as I cannot accept the fact that they let people pay for some kind of rooms. It is clear that only some rooms facing the pico mountain are acceptable... so leave only them available instead of putting guest into other terrible bedrooms. Very unpleasant experience. 

Avoid this

Pros:
Nice localization;
Decent breakfast (not much variety but good home made yogurt);

Cons:
Reception and rooms were uncomfortably hot and humid;
Old and ugly furniture;
Biggest problem - sleeping! The rooms were opposite to soundproof. We could hear the street noise, people going up and down the stairs  and people of other rooms. The room door had a big window above it which let light from the corridor into the room. All of this made it nearly impossible to sleep. 

We wouldn’t stay here again :(

Hard to sleep 

We were booked here for 3 nights. When entering the hotel, we were welcomed by an unpleasant smell. Everything looks old and worn down. The room was a horror. Dead mosquitos everywhere. Nobody ever bothered to clean them off. The bathroom is old and dirty. At midnight the lady at the reception was having a loud telephone conversation that prevented us from sleeping. The loud walking above our heads from other guests didn’t help either. They were very loud until 2.15 at night. And then started again at 5.15 in the morning. Loud walking, talking, having breakfast with a lot of noise and running up and down the stairs. When we wanted to complain the following morning, the lady at the reception could not care less. Her only respons was, ‘yess, we had a big group’. We checked out after one night and are now enjoying our last two nights on Faial in a wonderful clean and beautiful B&B!

The Hell of Horta

The best thing to say about this guesthouse is the great view from the room on the mountain Pico on the opposite island of the same name. Otherwise it is a simple guesthouse with very small rooms in the old town of Horta. A small breakfast buffet with a sad coffee. Unfortunately there was an ant road in the room and on the day of departure in the bathroom a very beautiful cockroach.

Simple guest house with pets

Nice room, but the first night there was a lot of crap, which ruined our night... nice little terrace, exceptional room view over the Pico.

The right hostel

Very nice small hotel in Horta. Good location and with easy access. Friendly staff, good bed, very clean and pleasant. Breakfast is basic but very tasty. Ideal place to stay in Horta at a great price.

Very nice

Very nice staff and available. We stayed in two different rooms, one better than the other, but both very comfortable. Small lunch excellent, simple but with good products. I recommend. Negative: I found the price high. But it's the average of what you see on the island.

Good place to stay

Beautiful hotel in the center of Horta. Rooms with balcony and ocean views and Peco are really charming. Everything very clean even though the rooms are not very big but have the right space. Breakfast buffet rich with local products. Rooms are spread over three floors without elevator...maybe the only drawback of the hotel. Very kind staff and available for any request.

Amazing.

This house is already distinguished by the sympathy of all the staff who meet all our needs always with a smile. The room I stayed in is simple, pleasantly decorated, with a balcony overlooking the street. I highlight the breakfast that is divine and that includes homemade compotes and even natural yogurts! Every day the house toast us with a new breakfast mixture that can be a natural orange juice, slices of honey or waffles! On Friday nights there is a free yoga class for guests. I recommend. Super pleasant. ;) This house has a concern with the family.
