Just love Casa Ceres so much and is with out doubt our most favourite place to stay.  Kevin and Kate are tremendous hosts and have become very dear friends too.

This visit we stayed in the four poster room. Super, super comfy and warm. Lovely warm dressing gowns too. The bathroom is immaculate - doesn’t look as if anyone has used it because Kate keeps it so clean.

Breakfast is totally perfect to our taste, continental style and some. Love the array of fresh fruit and the wonderful coffee just keeps coming.

Kevin’s encyclopaedic knowledge of Tomar and surrounding areas is fabulous and we certainly have so much more to explore next visit.

Go visit Stop 81 for supper, or lunch or just a drink. It’s a few minutes walk away and the warmest of welcomes await you.

Thank you once again Kevin and Kate - we shall see you next year.

Lovely accommodation 4 km from downtown Tomar, exceptional hospitality with homeowners who make themselves available for advice and help to tourists; we were in 4 and stayed one night in a room with double bed and castle bed; comfortable mattresses and a clean and functional bathroom; we felt at home, breakfast also satisfying

Great hospitality

We cannot thank Kevin and Kate enough for the marvellous hospitality during our 4 night stay.

The warmest and most genuine welcome and a lovely glass of vinho tinto to revive weary travellers.

Our room was a huge double with private huge bathroom & shower. Spotlessly clean and so comfy - we slept so well.

Breakfast is so enjoyable and totally to our taste and meant we had no need for lunch. Gorgeous fresh fruits and yoghurt, cereals, cheese, fresh local breads and cakes and lots of fresh coffee.

Stop 81 is the local fabulous restaurant up the road and we had two fantastic nights there - great service, great food.

We will be staying with Kevin and Kate again and recommend this wonderful bed & breakfast most highly.

Their wealth of local knowledge is invaluable.

5 star home away from home

After an appaulling ride due to bad winds, we were met by Kevin and Kate who new exactly what we needed(being bikers as well) A very large generous glass of vinho tinto!
There hospitality went the extra mile shall we say and we cannot recommend this place any more highly. Their knowledge of the city of Tomar will aid you in making the most of your trip and knowing you will be looked after where your staying makes your holiday even more memorable.  Thanks Kevin and kate, if it allowed me to rate you 10 i would.

A trip to remember 

The house is out of town, a little far from Tomar, but quiet. The room is quite simple and not too big. The owners are extremely kind and available. Good value for money.

Nice B&B

Kate and Kevin were perfect hosts. As all the other rooms were booked out they put me in a family room. It was well furnished with a comfortable double bed and a set of bunk beds. The en suite shower and toilet (access through the Narnia wardrobe, a nice touch!) was very large and perfect if you are travelling with a family. The shower is more like a wet room with a curtain around the shower area so no bath or lip around it for little ones to struggle with and plenty of room for grown ups to move around and sort the little ones. There was a very large well lit mirror above the hand basin.
Back in the bedroom, as well as the bedside cabinets either side of the bed there was a dressing table with mirror.
Breakfast was served in a well presented breakfast room. A good selection of fresh fruits, cerials, cold meats, cheese, fresh rolls jams and honey. There's even a good choice of herbal teas, along with fresh orange juice and coffee. You can really start the day off with a good feast, which is perfect when touring! 
Kevin is very knowledgeable about the local area and can recommend places to visit and where to get an evening meal (his recommendation of a local restaurant just around the corner was a good choice!) There is plenty of parking at the front of the building with even more down the side! 
All in all a great experience.
The only down side I could see would be if you didn't have transport to get there. But then this is not the sort of place you would choose to go to without it!

A quality B&B near Tomar 

If only all b&b's were like this. Clean, comfortable rooms, great hosts and really good breakfast.  If I'm being picky the 5pm checkin is a bit on the late side but worth the wait.  Also good value. Would happily stay again. 

Wonderful b&b

The house is located in a rural area about ten kilometres from Tomar. Friendly and warm welcome of our guests who make a real effort to express themselves in French. The bedroom (with a good bedding) and bathroom are spacious and impeccably clean. The breakfast is varied and abundant, a real delight.

Close to Tomar

I'd put Kevin and Kate's warmth and warmth first, our room was spacious, with a comfortable, clean, cantilevered bed, a nice bathroom, and very quiet, continental breakfast, freshly sliced fruit, I recommend it.
