A lovely beachfront location, a clean pool and beautiful grounds. The rooms are prettily located but although not luxurious, are comfortable. As others have noted no shower gel or shampoo provided. The buffet meals are satisfying and varied. The bar no longer appears to serve alcohol but there is a beach bar immediately adjacent to the hotel. 

Fabulous location 

It is a very nice place, but a very special atmosphere because this hotel is mostly attended by Islamist seminars, so no alcohol for example.

Tourism

Hotel empty, mattresses empty and uncomfortable, rude and insolent staff, meals empty and undifferentiated. Worse, the beach looks like a sewage dump.

Shameful and deplorable

It's a good hotel for Senegal, but it's too European, too bad. A little more authenticity would be welcome. It's expensive for what it offers, but the rooms are clean and the site is secure.

Corrected without further ado

We spent our holidays at the Saly Princess in Senegal from November 8 to 22, 2013, and we were extremely disappointed in this hotel. Very dirty, the walls collapsed the pool the tile was removed, the quality of the cuisine was the same every day, we had two days of rain it was raining in the hotel, the entertainers did nothing they were not motivated because it was two months they were not paying and besides we were only 10 people in the hotel at the sea near the hotel impratticacle because it is very dirty frankly we can go back to Senegal but certainly not to this hotel

For all travelers fleeing the big structures, the Saly Princess is ideal, a human-sized hotel with charming two-room bungalows spread out in a flowery garden. The hotel is clean and equipped enough to have a good time, the kitchen is of high quality, the very attentive and friendly service, the entertainers and entertainers form a dedicated and friendly team.

A pleasant family hotel

We went out as a group to celebrate the new year 2013/2014. Very friendly welcome, very attentive staff. We are in Senegal, so we did not expect a very big luxury... The rooms are correct, clean, cool. The restaurant, the pool, the bar too. We were offered a whole choice of excursions... We have a few, and we were delighted, even though at one point we made a guide understand that we were not here to get entertained, and that we are visiting! So we had to tell them our expectations, afterwards, they clearly respect your expectations and do everything to make you feel good. What a great vacation in Senegal!

I left at the end of January. The staff is very friendly and they did their best. But everything is really missing. I really enjoyed the atmosphere because I met a group of people who were particularly supportive of the moment, all the little things that were missing go to the trap and they smile rather. Indeed, there is no beach anymore, it was carried away by the sea during the rainy season as well as some of the construction on the beach. In the morning at breakfast, crayons or eggs, omelets are made in stoves we don't want any more, the staff is really extraordinary to work in such conditions. Besides, this small hotel remains unique only thanks to its staff who, despite all the kindness and kindness of things we do, want to get back to it!

Small care staff but lack of resources

I stayed at this hotel at the end of February 2014, I chose it after consulting with other people in the area. I must say that it accompanied me comfortably and happily to my stay in Senegal. It was a perfect setting for a formidable holiday!!. The animation guys are really good, they engaged the guests in the best way possible. After any excursions, the evening was always pleasant either with live orchestra or with folk groups or with karaoke or disco. Wifi available in all common areas. The food is great, the pool is comfortable, the bungalow rooms are very comfortable. What else? Formidable!!

My biggest memory of this friendly hotel will be the head barman .His expertise ,memory for names & service with ice cold beer glasses or crushing lime for the p'tit punch is a pleasure to watch.The ice cubes are made from bottled water so no need to deprive yourself .Sitting by the pool with a gin & tonic whilst Bob Marley is crooning on the speakers is how I will remember the Saly Princess.
This is the friendliest hotel I've ever stayed in ; starting with the Manager who is great with his staff & the tourists & this vibrates & passes backwards & forwards spreading the friendliness.
The chalet type rooms each with their own terrace are in well tended gardens with bouganvillia,hibiscus ,exotic birds & giant lizards .The rooms are clean,large & adequate with TV ,airconditioner & enormous double bed .Mosquito spray is provided though there are few mosquitos.Bring your own shampoo & shower gel .
There is often live music & dancing in the evenings & on Tuesdays it's Senegalese night where most dress up in local colourful materials to eat the battered prawns ,chicken "yassa"&other local dishes & dance to the tamtams .
Despite the cheap price we paid for the all inclusive holiday ;the restaurant provides excellent French wine & a good choice of salads & hot meals on their buffet .There is always fresh local fish & a choice of meats & vegetables as well as sweet desserts & plentiful fresh fruit at lunch & dinner.
The hotel has a small private beach & it's a pleasant stroll along the seafront to get to the banks,pharmacies,supermarket & numerous stalls & huts selling jewellery,coloufull clothing;wooden masks ,statues & other souveniers .A few have prices marked up so check them before bargaining in the majority !
