We had excellent diners for a nice price.
Were there 4 nights and also breakfast
Was very good. Kitchen becomes a 9 on the scale of 10. So, if you want to stay somewhere between Maribor and Ljubljana its the best I can advise you.

We, elderly people,80 and 81 years old  loved to stay here.

We arrived at the hotel (family-run) spontaneously in the afternoon, after a search on the Internet, and practically surprised the owners. The check-in was done very quickly and we were able to book our room (with balcony). The room is very spacious and strikingly clean, as is the whole hotel. The balcony invites guests to stay and offers enough space for three people. The view is only slightly disturbed by the approximately 200m highway. Breakfast is also quite affordable at 6€/person. For tips and questions about enterprises, the multilingual staff is available at any time.

Perfect for traveling and short trips

When booking at Booking it was stated that the hotel is 300 meters from the motorway.But to get there you need to go on secret trails about 8 km. Cheated with the price for accommodation with the dog. On request the price was not indicated, upon arrival they asked for 10 euros for 8 hours. It is possible to get into the room by a vertical screw ladder. This ladder is nowhere in the photo not in the description. The dog herself could not get up. We are having trouble. The area of the room that was ordered was much smaller. There is no protected parking. There is a hill slope where it is not safe to park the car. When making claims insulted us. Do not like to return to Moscow.

It's a terrible place, a whole lot of roughness.

We travel twice a year between Italy and Hungary, and usually we sleep one night somewhere at midway. Earlier we tried some other hotel in central Slovenia, near to the highway. And  then three years ago we found the Gostisce Pod Orehi, and since then we don't look for an other.
The area is beautiful, the hotel is very pretty and clean, the staff is friendly, flexible and helpful.
Every year I decide to come back for a longer stay, to visit better this area. I hope one day I can do.

relax at midway

Quiet and wonderful place to stay. The personnel is very friendly and speaking English fluently. We arrive almost at the midnight and Viktor is waiting for us with very tasty liquor :) It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel in such beautiful country!

Great place!

This little place is perfect!  It fit all our needs when we travel in Europe:  in a little village, family run/owned, only 3 rooms, great food and beer!  And, we need to add the family...Viktor and his mother and father were excellent hosts!  Viktor's father let us in when we arrived, Viktor (the son) arrived later, and his mother was the cook !  We had a great time, and Viktor was so personable and interesting!  The place was very clean, good view from balcony, and great place for walking down to little village.  The hiway you see from the hotel was quite entertaining, watching cars and trucks come through the tunnel.  Viktor speaks PERFECT English !To get to room is a winding staircase, but Viktor and his father took care of getting our bags up and down the steps! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!  Everything was wonderful!

What a great find!

i didnt expect any luxury accomodation but, for those who choose this accomodation for a sleepover only:
- Gostisce Pod Orehi is first of all - not as close from the highway as you might think
- The restaurant is open until late evening which is great , but the quality and choice of food is really average
- the breakfast is very big, but no choice there, you eat what you get. I would advise in this case to at least ask the guests if they have any dietary preferences
- location is really beautiful, but unfortunately quite loud, due to the highway (it's right in front of your windows)
- rooms are ok, but beds are quite small
- wifi was good
- the host were very nice

really average

We've spend a night here and we loved it- we got a beautiful room with balcony, everything is very clean, the guest house has a very nice teracce and the host are very hospitable and nice. Good food and drinks, they also have a possibility of sauna and jacuzzi, whicb we didn't try out. Zicka Kartuzija, beutiful old ministery, is 5 km away. Will return to this place in winter, it must be stunning when it snows. Two hints- GPS might show you the wrong way, we took the exit Slovenjske Konjice and found tbe place nuch easily... the  guest house is near highway.
