The main motive of the settlement here was the location and price. This guesthouse in a residential building on Placa d'urquinaona is really perfectly located. Just opposite the metro station of the same name and not far from Plaza Catalunya. The price was not low, but there was nothing to choose from in Barcelona in the summer. The living conditions are quite normal . Modest, but normal. This is a large apartment or several apartments divided into several rooms. The administrator is not always present here, so it is necessary to follow the temporary conditions of settlement. The Wi-Fi was working.

Excellent location, normal conditions.

We stayed in this hostel, near the subway and the Rambla. However, there are negative signs related to cleaning (dust, dirty curtains, garbage behind the dressing rooms and spiders), air conditioning (we have not heard everything that was happening in the hallway and the rooms next to ours), staff (very nice, but unlike what is reported on Booking or 24h out of 24, it was missing during the night). For the rest they change the towels and refine the room.

Great location but poor cleaning

I have booked hostel Sant Carlo two weeks before the visit but when I came there the staff told me that I should come after 2 p.m as they had forgotten to clean my room.  I said that it is not right and they said that my booking is cancelled because they don’t like my reaction. I was with a child and the staff cried at me and used profanity! I was shocked and told them not to cry as we are from Ukraine and have too many problems. They said that the war doesn’t mean anything to them and they can cry at anyone they don’t like! It is the worst experience in my life and I don’t understand how such rude and tactless people can work on reception! Don’t book this hotel in order to save your nervous system! Crying on a woman with a little child is unacceptable

Rude and tactless staff using profanity!

The hostel is very dirty, poor and poorly maintained. As soon as you enter the main door you notice an odor of nauseating food; in addition, in our last night we also found a spider. The staff is kind as they provide new towels every morning... but the conditions are bad.

Pessimism

Well located and relatively cheap, I still stick a 2/5 instead of 1 because the room (number 0 with private bathroom) and the bunk were clean but... almost no ventilation except for the 50 cm space between the wall and the window, and generally the whole place smells like Monday No, but really no soundproofing so pleased to hear the conversations from the next room, Niagara Falls when the people in the upper apartment take a shower and the smallest detail of the small and large commissions that go on in the toilets...

It's not worth the price...

The first day, I was greeted by a cockroach. I dragged the furniture from the room, I had another dead, dirty cockroach. I won't go back to this hostel. On arrival, I had to pay an extra fee that wasn't planned. The shower box is less than a square meter and flows the bathroom at each bathroom. I have photos.

Don't make the mistake of going to this hostel.

Don't go to this hostel, it's very dirty in everything from the sheets to the bathroom. Zero cleaning and arrogant staff. Very uncomfortable beds, desperate not to find other free hostels, we bought the room cleaning stuff because it was really indecent. 100% off.

I was in this hostel with my friend, we spent a week in Barcelona. For one night we could stay, but go somewhere else!

Don't go in there.

The location is super every thing walk-in distance from the airport take aero bus to plaza Catalunya go straight to plaza urquinaona the sing is it in the side of the door share bathroom 🚽 and shower 🚿 you have a sink in your room it is small but comfortable has a window for lighting very clean the elevator is too old and funny but make the work at It is in the 3rd floor 
Has many bakeries restaurants market one in the corner is open 24hs I really recommend if you need some economic in a great place

Excellent  the location it is amazing 

The structure is very dated. The cleaning is not very much, we stayed 3 nights and the first day they didn't even clean, they re-made the beds and they didn't even change the towels, they just added a roll of toilet paper. On the 2nd day we asked and we were confirmed that it was the day of cleaning. In short, we preferred that they did it every day. The window that looked up on a balcony didn't open well and even the blind could not close it without risking you to have the lanta in your hand.
