we chose this service for a private walking tour Saturday of the Jewish quarter in Barcelona. Our tour guide was Adi.

we were pleased not only by the professional execution of Adi as a tour guide but his interest and interconnection with us during the tour and the walk to the tour.

He picked us from the hotel on agreed time and guided us through barcelona  to the area of the actual tour. his eplanations were interesting , founded and pedagogically prepared for everyone . Adi has a sense of humour that made every stop and every explanation special. He was alert to our questions and remarks and always at service of us and not ( as many tourguides) just executing his job.

Highly appriaciated and highly recommandable

Two words kind of sums it up...bed bugs! Arrived at Barcelona Dreams (not easy to find- wish we hadn't found it) and were given a tour of the the small guest house that included a small kitchen area. We had a difficult first night sleep as the air conditioning was not working, lots of noise in neighbourhood and in the guest house, internet wonky, TV out of order, weird smell in the room and the bed was not comfy.  Although we had paid a deposit for the first two nights the manager of the place was anxious for us to pay the remainder of the week. He was banging on the door after 11 PM on the first night trying to get his money and we said to come back in the morning.  

In the morning he walked into the room while I was in the washroom using his own key again asking for the rest of the money.  We shared our disappointment in the room and he reluctantly offered to shave 100.00 Euros off our rate - we were paying 750.00 Euros for six nights. Unfortunately we agreed to this and decided to stay.  A few days later, I began to notice bite marks on my body and some small reddish/brown smears not the sheets and we realized that the place had bed bugs!!! We met with the manager showed him the bite marks and a bed bug that we had put in a zip lock bag.  He offered his apologies and to pay for some antihistamine for my bites...how sweet! 

Of course we had quite an ordeal trying to get home without putting other travellers at risk or bringing hitch hiking bed bugs into our home which was a huge concern.  We did our best to shake everything out in the room and had our luggage professionally wrapped at the airport. We have only been home a couple of day and have spent the time laundering our clothes and heat treating everything in our luggage.  We had to throw the luggage away as there were bugs in it. Such a shame to end an otherwise wonderful European holiday with this experience.

Barcelona Nightmares

It took me some time to find it, because I was looking for a hotel sign. Once I found out we would be sleeping in an appartement in an apartment block, all was well. I was welcomed very warmly and the room had all we hoped for!!

My first experience with Barcelona Dreams was when I arrived into town to find that nobody was at the hotel to greet me for my reservation.  I spent 5 hours with all of my luggage trying to figure out how to get into the hotel room that I had paid so much money for.  After a while I finally was so tired from travel and not sleeping the night before that I booked a hostel room across the street to get some sleep.  It was only after I had slept there for a couple of hours (this makes it 7 hours after the arranged meeting time) did I receive word that the woman had apparently been at the place all day ( a blatant lie).  I called them on this and she denied and denied.  I was so tired I just didnt care I wanted my room.  I ate the cost of the 25 euro hostel room across the street (by the way this hostel is far better, nicer and cheaper than Barcelona Dreams, google "hostel on carrer de josep anslem and it will come up).  Unfortunately this was the start of my problems.
The next issue came up when in the room I was assigned, the wifi is non existent or very poor.  I am a computer scientist by trade.  I need the internet to do anything and to use it at this place I had to sit on the floor at the door of the room to get 2 bars of a signal.  There was nothing they could do about this so I brushed it off.
The culmination of my frustrations came about when I tried to finally sleep the second night.  The first night I was so exhausted that I must've just passed out.  The place sits on a busy street in a busy part of town and let me tell you, IT IS LOUD.  It is damn near impossible to sleep here.  I can hear everything that the people outside are saying.  It is 3:00 AM as I write this and I cannot get a wink of sleep.  What pains me the most is that they out me on the only room that is on the street.  They gave me the room with the worst wifi and the worst location.  I am not happy about it.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

Worst place I have ever stayed

Very well located in the heart of La Rambla. Each room is different. Very clean and well maintained. Great service. Nice people. Perfect for a weekend or vacation. I go there every year. I do feel at homes there....

Nice and Cosy

It's a super charming, family friendly and warm guesthouse. It's super well located between the Rambla and the sea, 10 minutes' walk from La Barcelonetta, 3 minutes from the metro. Francesca is an exceptional hostess. With her, we have the choice of languages... Italian, Spanish, English, French... It's available and useful and has a wonderful taste for decoration. We were in the family, with our two girls aged 10 and 13 and we loved staying there! I highly recommend this place! And thank you and congratulations to Francesca.

It's a great place!

This is a hostel located on one of the floors of a residential building. There are few rooms and there is no reception. There is a mini kitchen to prepare tea, coffee and also tableware available. It has wifi. The rooms are beautiful, clean, comfortable and picturesque. Air conditioning, refrigerator. It is located in the Gothic quarter, a few steps from the metro, near the rambla, the coastal esplanade, restaurants and the royal square.

Lindo is the name of the game.

With our grandchildren Max (11 years old) and Lars (8 years old) we enjoyed a fantastic holiday in Barcelona.We stayed in BARCELONA DREAMS: a real dream!We felt at home.Francesca and Kamilo welcomed us in an unforgettable way: exceptional, admirable, with a splendid smile.It was a pleasure to meet them.The guest house - very well situated - is wonderful and very comfortable with spectacular, comfortable and very beautiful rooms.We recommend it to every traveler looking for a cozy and ideal place in Barcelona.He will find a dream!

It's a real dream!

With my wife and 16-year-old children I spent 3 very pleasant days in this perfect guesthouse, I confirm all the positive reviews published on the trip advisors who made me choose this accommodation. Strategic position, very close to the ramble, to the sea, to the metro, practically very easy to reach all those sites that are mandatory for tourists to visit. A special appreciation for the furniture that with taste, effort and passion, Francesca, Susanna and Andrés go to discover here and there in Barcelona, really good for what you do, thanks also for the advice always timely for the view of the city and the restaurants for the evening.

Perfect.

It's kind of like home, or at a friend's house. We were super welcomed, even though we arrived a little late. The apartment is just a few steps from the Dressanes station, in a quiet street, which is really a luxury in this neighborhood, no noise of cluttered tourists coming out of the disco, no garbage truck at 4am, it's really very nice.
