A real disappointment, both in the facilities and in the treatment of the staff. Nothing is recommended for pilgrims of the Camino de Santiago, if at any time the client's rest is not respected and what you supposedly pay for your private stay, outside, in the countryside where you hope to find tranquility and above nothing cheap. If you start the road from Santiago in Sarria or if you think of staying here, it is 20 minutes from downtown and less so if it coincides with the weekend, because the customers of the first bar have priority than the pilgrims who rented the room for months. What you can do is the owner's attitude. that he cannot do anything. that every Saturday is a day of bars and above nothing cheap. because we know, he knows, that there is no fear, that the villages where we are staying for the first time will be cancelled, and less so if it coincides with the weekend, because they have priority over the first pilgrims who have rented the room for months.

So as not to go back again.

We arrived in Sarria with two tired and thirsty pilgrims. At 2:30 p.m. we discovered the first restaurant Mesón do Martín and told the girl that we would like to eat the menu. As the inside was full and although some customers were already finishing, we were invited to take a seat on the closed terrace outside. Although smoking was forbidden with a sign included, the bar's friends can. After 15 minutes of ignoring ourselves without even asking for the drink, we asked. In a very bad way a man told us to wait.

La Pension de Ana (though now identified as El Mesón de Martín) was our first stop to start the next day on the Camino de Santiago.We arrived late but were greeted with a huge smile and given a simple, yet clean and pleasant room.In addition to giving us two bottles of water and giving us a perfect breakfast of toasted tomatoes and ham the next day.It is not in the center of the village, but that doesn't matter at all, it is directly on the Camino so it is an excellent starting point.

Very welcoming and very helpful, we had 2 dogs and were given a larger room to be more comfortable, we will certainly repeat if we return to Sarria, it is not in the center but has a very good location and comfortable beds, plus free parking.

Perfect Perfect

It's a simple accommodation, but very comfortable and perfect for pilgrims. Comfortable beds and an acceptable bathroom. The staff is very friendly and very willing to facilitate things. Also recommended is the restaurant, typical Galician, rich food and very good service. To finish the stage of the road is very nice, as it is at the entrance to the village, but to visit the village is a little far away to have walked all day. At night there was a bit of noise through the bar below.

It's simple but very comfortable.

The rooms are right above the terrace of the bar that houses the boarding house, and what joy when it was 1:30 in the morning and there were still people from the JUEGA Y HABLANDO A VOCES in it. Knowing that many people will stay here to rest on the long Camino de Santiago, the owners could make the locals understand that talking lower is not difficult and so everyone could follow their own pace, relax and have some drinks in the cool of summer. But when at 5 AM we woke up to walk and go back to the same party of wine in the same place, the beer in the other streets, but we did not follow the signs of the same terraces.

For the Road, NO!

Álvaro is charming, very attentive and gave us good advice which we appreciate, such as where to dine that night.We left the car guarded for the return.The rooms were in a very clean apartment.

A pleasant start to the Camino.

Warm hospitality. Comfortable rooms. Perfect accommodation for pilgrims from Compostelle. We were tired. It was very hot. The boss offered me a drink. It was completely unexpected and spontaneous.

We went as a couple and we were delighted. The treatment was very close. Attentive at all times, we were not lacking in anything; and ademas Super economical. The meal was very rich and homemade. Everything very clean. Excellent.

It is excellent.

We appreciated the availability of the boss and his wife who prepared a dinner for us while the restaurant was closed... we will advise pilgrims and other friends passing through SARRIA to stop by.
