Stayed 6 nights to explore Gib & some of southern Spain. Single bed room on the 3rd floor, shared bathroom though the room itself had a sink. Communal Fridge, Microwave, Tea & Coffee also available. Staff speak little/no English & you have to leave the keys at reception every time you go out.

First four nights were as expected,  some noise & hustle & bustle from the streets below but ok with ear plugs. The 5th night what appeared to be a mentally ill drunk took residency in the next room, loud TV on until 2am, then kept shouting in his sleep. The last night a noisy couple came in, music on till 2am before they decided to engage in -ahem- other activities before they put the music on again until god knows when because I eventually fell asleep despite them.

The establishment itself was ok for the price, clean enough, just dated, very basic & they should be tougher on inconsiderate guests.

Cheap & very basic

After booking a double at this hotel in La linea, I was hoping that, as usual, my wife and I would be allowed to share a room with our little daughter. However, the unfriendly man at the reception refused to do this and forced to pay for the single, which made accommodation in this hotel quite unprofitable. And as compensation for the damage, there was not even a smile. Yes, it happens in Spain too... Although rarely. Nothing good can be said about the hotel. The situation is modest, if not shabby. You definitely won't want to come here a second time.

It turned out unprofitable.

Wonderful modern, spotlessly clean place. Does rooms with private facilities and without. A single room with shared bathroom set me back all of €16. Superb, free WiFi. 
 About a 10-minute walk from the bus station and a 15-minute walk from the border with Gibraltar.

Excellent budget hotel

3 nights at the end of February. Good location, close to the bus station, restaurants, supermarkets and the Gibraltar border. Friendly staff. Affordable fares.

A very affordable boarding house with essential services and an open reception room, a mile from the border, which makes it a good base for visiting Gibraltar.

It's simple.

We booked two rooms, one for two people and one for one person. The rooms were clean, they're small but just enough to sleep in.

good and cheap

This has been an ideal place to use as a base for visiting all the local towns and popping over to Gibralter for day trips.
The hostel is basic, we had a twin room with two single beds and hand basin, but the toilet and and bathroom was just next door.
Very clean although decoration was to an acquired taste. There wasn’t air conditioning in our room but you could upgrade if need to for a slightly higher price, there is a ceiling  fan and we took a small bedside fan with us which did well for us. Still for €15.00 euros per room per night in peak season what else could you ask for.
There is a communal lounge with free tea and coffee for all guests, plus the use of they’re fridge and microwave which we found very helpful as we made our breakfast there and had evening snacks, cold drinks and essentials kept cool and at hand. 
Staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful.
A car park is in the next street for those like ourselves that hire a car for they’re holiday. 
And on the last day we were able to leave our cases and didn’t return for them until late in the evening with no problems.
The towns daily market is just one street away and we found a fantastic  local restaurant near by. 
I will defiantly be returning here again. 
As I said it is basic but ideally located 

Short break in la Lina 

He has been online to visit Gribraltar and is very well, in a very clean and convenient location as it is very close to the border, the best treatment received by the staff, very attentive, super friendly. Very good price.

Excellente Pension is a very good pension.

We booked La Esteponera as we were looking for a simple and cheap accommodation for one night while visiting Gibraltar. We were pleasantly surprised! It’s not only simple and cheap, it’s also clean and has friendly staff. Upon arrival we got to choose between two rooms. We chose a larger room with separate beds and bathroom. Basic, but had everything we needed. It’s located approx. a 10-15 minute walk from the border to Gibraltar. 24h reception. Highly recommended if you’re looking for cheap accommodation in La Linea. 

Great budget place!

We were staying in July in two rooms, one with bathroom and the other without the perfect, both cleanliness and equipment and prices.Very friendly in reception and location throughout the center.A place to stay again.
