Pedrafita do Cebreiro

Miguel and his wife Lola were incredible hosts from the time of our pick up by Miguel in O Cebreiro to our accommodations in Fonfria.  It was to our advantage they both spoke English, as we were able to learn about the history of their family and business.  What an amazing property!  The Pilgrim dinner was the best which offered local beef and vegetables, along with a delicious Santiago Cake and surprising entertainment, truly a memorable experience!

The first stop of the road on the O Cebreiro-Triacastela stage. very good pincho de tortilla, fresh cow cheese with exquisite honey and cheese with chestnuts. but the views have more to see. terrace to rest a bit. there are rooms to sleep in.

A hostel that also has bathrooms, simple yet comfortable enough, a good lounge and a good dinner in a lovely rehabilitated Palloza where we share a table and a pleasant conversation with pilgrims of various nationalities.

The most comfortable bed on my camino! The reception was nice and warm. Loved the community style dinner at the Galician structure at the back of the albergue. Food was delicious, and the wine was the albergue's own -- it was good!

Wonderful stay during my camino

After Covid I went back on the road with a lot of fear. Some places were linked to beautiful memories and I was afraid to find them changed. At the Hotel A Reboleira instead we were welcomed with the usual courtesy, in a warm environment and with a common dinner rich in substance. I like when in the hostels you breathe the confidence in the pilgrim. Here in the morning you arrive in the bar area with everything available and no one present to check: that whoever leaves should not take something. I took two cookies and left two coins on the counter.

Going back and finding that nothing has changed

What a lovely place for pilgrims to stay. Spacious modern private bedrooms. Nice and warm. It was raining and snowing when we were there. Enough blankets and working heaters. Good pilgrim meals and warm, kind and helpful hosts. We almost stayed another night!!

Albergue A Reboleira Fonfria Spain

This was the highlight of our variety of accommodations over a two week period.  So many positives -  from the friendly reception on a wet dismal day, to the oh so welcoming common area, the boot rack for drying boots, the extremely nice private rooms ( did not stay in bunk area but looked nice), to the amazing dining facility with its large wood stove at the entrance and super friendly serving staff.  On and on. The owner was extremely nice to us, and I suspect is to all who wonder in.

Wonderful surprise

I was at this hotel as a pilgrim during the trip to Santiago. I think, compared to those where I was, it was the best in all respects. Clean rooms, excellent services, availability of plumes for the night (which I never found), kindness of staff and the best dinner of the trip (first, second and wine at will and of excellent quality) served in a beautiful separate Celtic style building.

I stayed here 1 night during my path to Santiago. Simple but beautiful place, all utilities you need for a very very low price and probably the best dinner I had during all my vacation in Spain. 5 stars are really not enough..
