I don't think there is a better location in Madrid. This is undoubtedly the hostel's strong point. The right room, everything was new. The downside is that in the building there is a hostel per floor and a single elevator, with which it is very likely that you will have to go up and down stairs or line up to use it. It also seemed to me a point against the check-in time, since it is at 3 pm (many hotels/hostels have it at 12 or 14 pm) and if you arrive in Madrid in the morning you should wait a lot. Finally, as they point out in other comments, if your neighbors are riotous about insurance, you note that if you check everything out, which can be a bit annoying.

The location is the sum of the points

In principle, the location is good, opposite to the Plaza Callao sobre Gran Vía. Very noisy, complicated to sleep in. The room is small. It counts only as a towel without a towel. The small bathroom. The Velador does not work and wifi is not available, it is impossible to connect. Of course the price is tempting for the location but it costs a little more than there are good options nearby.

Spend a little more.

It was just one night, in a family, two double rooms. more centrally impossible, well located across the street from Callao. rooms with air conditioning and television. economical. metro stop at the entrance to the Hostel.

One night in Madrid.

Hostel very well located, economical (5 people 80€), which needs a renovation for old spacious, clean and well equipped accommodation, cabinets, safe, two televisions (the room is divided into two rooms) bathroom complete

Old but complete.

It is located on the Gran Via next to all shops for shopping and near restaurants. Hotel without comfort, good for 2 nights when visiting. Small rooms, bathroom also, without foehn. To be calm, ask for a room on the courtyard side.

Malisimo, it looks like a transient hostel. We play in the next room all drunken knocking on the walls. Without sleeping all night. At 12 o'clock came the maid and we were treated badly, ending up packing in the hallway.

No way is pesimo and people are going to get worse.

We spent 3 nights in this hotel... very nice hotel in the city centre and very close to the metro! The building has an elevator which is nice! on the other hand..hotel to be remodeled..the rooms are very sad...no brightness!! very noisy hotel we wonder what the owners are doing at the reception...not comfortable bed at all...no storage at all, our clothes stayed in our suitcases for 4 days! miserable bathroom..broken shower stove, defrosty joint..a simple shelf in the bathroom to put our little things... 3 things = 3 exchanges and we don't serve you the courts every day after dry hair! Our window on a small wall and front wall.... they will always charge you the hotel room and they'll pay you 2€ if you have your airplane and you're worth your money!

Mediocre

I stayed in this hostel for a few days with some colleagues. Bad room cleaning, other colleagues found a dirty blood sheet, the heating is not working, the bathroom is very small and the windows never close completely, allowing the sleepers to enter (even after warning the staff). Great view of the square, but if to see it we have to open the windows and then fail to close them, let's do it too.

Poor, but good eyesight

I stayed here and I have to say that I would go back, maybe bring my towels because theirs were not very clean. For the rest the room was decent, with bathroom in the room. For the price I paid (150 euros in two for 3 nights) I am very satisfied, the metro station is 30 meters away but everything is easily reached on foot because it is in the center! Wi-Fi perfectly working and check in fast.

Central, economical, clean

The hostel is very well located, with a privileged view of the terrace. The room is very simple, the TV picked up few channels and we didn't even use the heater. It is on the ninth floor of the building but the check-in and check-out were done on the second floor. It's worth it if you just go to sleep!
