Hostel in the center is very old, not dirty but very old and grim, it was anchored in the 70s!very expensive for what it is!Personal correctness and privacy!I don't recommend it for quality price!!!!!

Everything clean and the best was undoubtedly the dueno Guillermo who treated us incredibly well and always available and made us feel at home!

We'll be back.

Considering that it is a hostel and is in a very old building, the stay in this hostel was very cozy. It is in a very good area of Madrid and quite close to Sol, Gran Vía and Congreso de los Diputados. Perhaps the bathroom is a little small but for tourism it is too much. Everything very clean. Very friendly service, our suitcase was kept on Sundays until we took the train, which we would be grateful for. Surely if I returned to Madrid and needed accommodation, I would choose it again.

Given that it is a hostel, we have been very well, the mattress very comfortable, the room clean as well as the bathroom. It has an ideal location accessible to all places and the staff is very friendly. If you are looking for luxuries overlooked but if you are looking for a well-located place to sleep in your tourist days it is great!

The best location!

Hostal is simple without big pretenses but it also doesn't pretend to deceive anyone. It is very well located, you can walk from atocha in less than 20 minutes and to the center in about 15. It has a private bathroom, air conditioning and heating. The mattress is very comfortable and the room is very soundproof. They give you the keys to all the doors so that you don't have to go through the reception constantly. And they put me a small coin for me at no extra cost. The only place is the access, since it is the first floor without an elevator. For the rest everything perfect, I would be safe.

Enjoy the city of Madrid.

Not bad at all and really in the city center. Unfortunately the small hotel is on a side street, not far from bars in Tapas and so the nights can be very noisy. Another small couc, the receptionist doesn't speak more than a few words of English.

Very well placed, but...

This is a great value hostal, completely refurbished with modern bathrooms, functional rooms and all very clean and well maintained.

Calle Leon in the Barrio de Letras around the numerous tapas bars of Plaza Santa Ana and within easy walking distance of the main art museums. Excellent breakfast bakery directly below hostal or in the great deli-wine bar Gonzalez in Calle Leon 12.

Guillaume ensures all runs smoothly and Juan does a great job keeping the place spick and span. 

I actually had more room and a better bathroom in my mini-suite than in the posh hotel on the nearby corner!

Great value hostal in central Madrid, refurbished and very clean.

An old hostel with basic amenities: bed, private bathroom, heating and TV.The staff was very attentive at all times.It is very well located to visit the city centre, as it is located in the letters district.

Centric is central.

We chose this hotel for its location and price (50€ per night); we spent 4 days there in May 2015. The hotel people are charming. The reception is on the first floor of the building, the stairs are a bit steep, but we were helped with the suitcases. The rooms are austere (don't go for decoration....) but comfortable. Good bed. Efficient CLEAM AND SILENT. The bathroom is very correct; it wasn't a converted closet. The street noise is moderate; it's not a footpath despite the proximity of Prado Street. Metro, hyper city center nearby. There is a coffee shop at the foot of the building or we took our small lunches (80€ and 3.70€). We were not in the neighbourhood of the hotel, or we were all picked up by the neighbors.

Highly positioned

We stayed from September 27th to October 2nd, room always clean, friendly and available staff, in the centre of Madrid, there is no elevator, but it was no problem being at the centre of the movement, very chaotic.
