We spent 2 nights with friends at Mas de Caret.La Teresa's treatment was very good, price adjusted and good service.We went with children and we were able to enter to see the chickens, we saw the ponies and the goats.Teresa specifically filled us the small pool so that the children could bathe.The large pool was very clean.

My family and I have spent a few days in this accommodation and it has been quite a success. It was the apartment for four. We were actually three people. When we arrived it was clean and tidy. And with all the minimum necessary to spend a few days. Teresa is a very attentive and friendly person. She helped us with everything we needed. The common areas of the house are quite tidy. And they also have some animals that make the stay of the little ones much happier. And as for the environment, it is an ideal place to make hiking routes and visit places like Montblanc or Tarragona. Without a doubt, we would return.

A great achievement.

In the midst of nature, from our room a spectacular view.Teresa has been very nice to us.We booked late, we said we weren't having dinner and then we got hungry and she gave us a dinner with a rich salad and some toasted ham.The free buffet breakfast of 10.Many varieties, local products, the rich bread.It's a really good place to unplug...our experience has been short, but happy for the enclave and for the attention of Teresa.

We ended up in Mas de Caret in a quick search for an alternative to the Vall de Núria due to bad weather and the truth is that it was a success. Charming rustic rooms in a quiet environment within the Prades Mountains. Ideal for resting and hiking and with Montblanc 30 minutes to take a getaway. We were in a medium-range pension. The fact that you don't choose food as in a hotel with a menu or buffet, may shock you depending on the breadth of your fancy when it comes to eating, but it's impossible not to enjoy the food that Tresa, mountains no, good dinners. If you open a restaurant, it would always be full. If you open a restaurant, you'll always get quality and more ecological food, you can't ask for it. In some critical comments, the apartment is about the freshness, the freshness, the quality, but if you buy a good enough home, you'll be able to get a nice, clean, and comfortable home.

In November I turned 60, looking for a place in the mountains to celebrate with all my family and friends, away from the noise, a place that was distinct to remember as special and recommended to me Mas de Caret. It brought together everything I had imagined: away from crowded places and in the midst of nature, a very warm rural mass in the peace of a privileged environment, a dining room that made you feel the warmth of being at home, with a lit fireplace and tasting a really good menu, ecological cuisine and very well done, prepared and served by the hostess Teresa, alma de la mas.

An unforgettable family birthday celebration.

My partner and I went for a few days. The place is very nice and we liked the house, it is an ideal place to disconnect. However, the treatment disappointed us quite a bit. The owner is very rude, very direct, I think she has been living her way for so long that sometimes she is aggressive. And if you don't share her way of making and living the add and water she commands! On the other hand, the price of the dinner seemed exaggerated (the products will be organic, but that doesn't mean the dish is good). It was simply a normal dinner, no more or less. The dinner consisted of a first-time pucher and a second-time rarity that wasn't very good.

A beautiful site, but it can be improved.

We were with our children ages 1 and 4 for 5 days.Before arriving we were afraid that it would be very isolated or that the children would get bored.And the result was a wonderful experience for them and for us.The environment is beautiful and the house is welcoming and well cared for.We enjoyed the food, the garden, the mountain walks and especially the company of Teresa.Hello because it conveys her love for nature and the authenticity of that way of life.

We were in a retreat of the Mas de Caret in April, it is a beautiful place, located in the mountains, very quiet. The clean rooms, equipped with affection. The treatment very friendly, the food very rich. Ideal for disconnecting, hiking.

 Charming country house.

Mas de Caret is  charming but idiosyncratic.  Only stay here if you like off the beaten track, eccentric charm and deep green environmental credentials. But if, like us, you do like these things, you'll love it.  We were greeted with home made cake and a choice of hot drinks.   Our room was large with a seating area. The ceilings were very low which added to the rustic charm but which meant my husband had to stoop - and crawl into bed.  Most rooms have a small private terrace area

Food is local, tasty and served in generous portions.  It is served in a big communal room where you can also have access to books, games, seating and drinks during the day.  There's the option to sit at a communal table and meet other guests.

We were there over a holiday weekend and there were quite a few families with young children - it's a lovely place for children to spend time in the country

The showers were a bit tepid (especially on the second night) but I think we may have been in the difficult shoulder season (October) between the solar heating not being fully up to the job and the wood burning system coming on. The toiletries however were really lovely - I think they may have been homemade.  

Don't bank on the swimming pool. It's far too deep so is only part filled (presumably because otherwise children would drown in it) so you are doggie paddling (it's only small) in a deep tub and you can't see out.  A pity as it would be a stunning location for an infinity pool.
