Hostal Romero offers nice, basic and inexpensive rooms on a good location. Just what you need visiting a city like Oviedo.

Unfortunately, the small hotel has a couple of major problems:

Check-in took almost 30 minutes, because the lady in the reception didn’t know how to use the electronical tools for photocopying our passportes. In addition, she didn’t know one single word in English.

Even worse are the paper thin walls. When our neighbour went to the bathroom during the night (and he did several times) it seemed like he was using our bathroom. Also people talking and singing in the street sounded like they were psycically inside our room … we didn’t get much sleep.

So - now you know why rates at Hostal Romero are so incredibly reasonable.

The Pension Romero is perfectly located in downtown Oviedo within walking distance of the Cathedral, park, and restaurant district.  The pension is small, but very clean with a private bathroom.  The outside street can be a little noisy at night, but as pilgrims starting the Camino Primitivo from Oviedo, we could not have asked for a better place to prepare for our pilgrimage.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Hostal Romero.We have chosen it again for its magnificent location and the price-quality ratio.The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, but the shower leaves much to be desired, apart from being small, the faucet has no pressure and takes a long time to shower.The service is a bit distant.

Good location and price.

Good value for money, clean and staffed, we were given a room that looked like a light yard, but since we only wanted it for sleep, we didn't care too much, even minimizing the noise.

Centric hospitality, good value for money.

Do not stay at this "hostel" (really more of a motel/budget hotel) if you are sensitive to smoke!

I am sensitive to smoke, and my room was located right next to reception. It seems that the night receptionist enjoys smoking, so I had to sleep in a smoke filled room, which was quite uncomfortable for me. 

Additionally, the room walls are very thin - so that you can hear practically everything your neighbors are saying or doing. 

That said, the WIFI was faster here than any accommodation I've ever had in Spain, and moreover, the price was extremely reasonable, at around 27 euros a night for a single room, so I think that a 4 star rating is definitely warranted. Overall quite good.

Smoking - Otherwise Good

Very good location very good treatment the spacious and clean room, comfortable beds, everything very well very highly recommended everything.

Better than many hotels.

In the course of my early fireplace I stayed here for the first stage. Hotel is located on the third floor there is everything essential to start comfortably in the morning, you're already on the direction. It's very central also to go around the city and it's close to Decathlon if you have to buy something, decathlon closes at 21.

Very central and convenient for the beginning of the primary

It's a hostel with a very large room (we were my mother and I, two single beds). we had views of the street and a large bathroom (i love the shower). there is no dryer. the reception staff was very nice, and whenever we returned the room was cleaned. there is a lady janitor who is a love. we stayed 8 days and 7 nights and it was very good accommodation. this is ideal because you have the English court next door, the renfe 5 minutes walk and buses 1 minute but, to tour the city there is no bus, there is everything. there is also the ceramic bus station. i recommend a lot!!! additionally you always have carllos at the entrance.

It's pleasant and very centered.

My daughter took a course in this city and we stayed here.We were very comfortable, without luxuries but with the necessary amenities.The parking lot is very close, shops and restaurants too, as well as the historic downtown of the city.The staff are very friendly and care for you very well.

Volveré was born.

My title says pretty much everything. I added the staff detail. The chatter of the roommates, it literally follows, just like the snoring. The bed, I think, measures 180 in length, and I'm a bit more... perfect location. With light sleep, I don't recommend it.
