This is a beautifully restored property. The dining room especially is really well done. 

The bedrooms are comfortable and tastefully done and this is a property you really want to stay at for a few days. 

The food served in the dining room is very enjoyed and done to a high standard. They have a nice selection of wines at very reasonable prices.

There were some very minor frustrations in the bathroom such as trying to get the right temperature on the shower (this is a very old building though so can be slightly excused) and the lack of places to hand towels and place things in the shower. That said, I would happily stay at this property again if in the area.

A Beautifully Restored Property

Smaller hotel off the Camino. Pick up and return was prompt and at no additional cost. Room was tidy and clean. The restaurant manager was great, we asked for help with the wine selection and she asked some questions about out taste and returned  with a wonderful wine. The meal was one of the best we have had on our month long trip. Highly recommend.

Great visit

We stayed here during our Camino. The place is beautiful and picturesque, however, the host’s attitude towards us was not acceptable. 
We could barely finish our breakfast and was half way through having our coffee when we were told to get in the taxi immediately. We tried to explain that we needed to use our bathroom before departure, but was denied any more time. The host’s attitude in general was dictator-like and for us spoilt what could have been a lovely experience.

Disappointing

We stayed there during our camino and it was rated as a superior accommodation.The rooms were clean and neat we stayed in the main building on the ground floor  the rooms are not sound proof so all the noise from adjacent or above is heard .When we arrived at 14:30 after a 27 km walk we wanted to eat and were told the restaurant is full dinner is 19:30 The dinner was fine Not impressed with the host attitude towards guest I hope i was an exception

Camino 2022

Delicious home made meal, show case dining room, quiet very rural setting and charming 300 yr old farm house! It was chilly but they put the heat on and we slept well! Such a unique setting. The chef spoke English and explained in detail the meals for selection!

A REAL TREASURE NOT TO BE MISSED

We were booked here by Camino Ways Tours during our Santiago trek.  They picked us up in town and drove us to the hotel (about a “fast” 7 minute drive - love the Spain drivers). Hotel’s outside is great looking (like a big converted house) and well decorated on the inside. There was nobody around on the inside though. We were driven, dropped off, given a key to the room and told that dinner was at 6:30pm. Walls were also thin (snoring and voices heard from other rooms) hence the “ok” as a hotel rating. 
However...... everything about the hotel can be overlooked because of MANU !!   Manu is the chef at the hotel’s restaurant who gave us the most wonderful gourmet dinner meal on our time in Spain so far. Our meal was 4 courses total. We had a choice for each course and now wished we would have chosen one of each and shared it so as not to miss Manu’s mastery of presentation, combining of spices, oils, flavorings with exceptional ingredients.  “We wish we could have one more meal with Manu.” This is something that several of us keep saying. If you get a chance, eat at Manu’s restaurant. You will be amazed!

Hotel ok, Restaurant exceptional

Booked for me by Camino Ways this was my first experience of calling for a taxi and being taken away from the Camino. It all worked like a dream (both ways) and I was so happy to arrive at this casa rurales - part of a group of country houses. There was a pool which was a bonus, the rooms were lovely and the buildings had so much character. The meal was quite outstanding. Absolutely loved it.

A haven of tranquility

What a wonderful respite on our Camino!  The quaint and rustic hotel, with comfy beds and full bath (even a bathtub!) was Absolutely Perfect after our long walk.  The gourmet dinner was scrumptious...and we were able to have our clothes washed and dried before we departed the following morning.  The peace and quiet of the countryside made this an even better find.  Plus a swimming pool!  What a treat!  Thank you for this lovely stay!

A Delight on the Camino

Stayed here on the second day of our Camino. As others have mentioned, the hotel is 10 minutes from town, but they will send a taxi for you or pick you up and return you to the Camino the next morning. The hotel is a country hotel. Maria, the proprietor, said the main house was 300 years old. The main building was stone with lovely rustic sitting areas and a nice fireplace. Our room was small, but comfortable. Everything we needed was there.

Dinner was not included with our accommodations. We paid €50 for a bottle of wine and 2 four course dinners of what surely must have been one of the best meals ever. The pear dessert is not to be missed. Talked with other guests the next morning, all of who loved their dinner. Breakfast the next morning was simple, but adequate. Overall, a great experience.

A Delightful Experience

Excellent location to recharge!  We stayed at Parada for 2 consecutive nights after our stops at Palas del Rey and Melide.  The rooms are well acquainted and the dinner we had (both nights) was excellent.  Suso and Maria (owners and the latter, chef as well) made our stay a memorable one for the 3 couples in our group.  Our package didn't include dinner, only breakfast, which was convenient, as everyone could pick their choice.  Breakfast was superb.

To note, Paradas is 10 - 15 minute drive from either Palas or Meride; both drives were nice (included in our Tee-Travel package). Once you are at the property you need a private transport to move to any location (if you need to or have the energy!).

Next time we do El Camino, we'll try to stay at Parada again.  Thanks Suso!
