Great property staff where very accommodating..and helpful..room was very large...beds comfortable..excellent location.
Only negative it is in a main thoroughfare and so is very noisy at night..so request a room at the back  ..they did supply earplugs

Great location

The hotel is clean but the quality of the price seems to me to be overwhelming, the perfect location if you touch the outside doesn't close your eyes and if you touch the inside there is a kind of indoor patio that hears everything and doesn't ventilate as it does heat we sleep with a ventilator, the staff without comments for not aggravating the bathroom just yet and the decoration in the end I prefer more light and more power and to be able to open the suitcase, an important one without an elevator I think 83 euros without excess.

Well located in the old town, walking distance from everything on authentic old pedestrian streets.
Strange very old hotel that needs refurbishment of many types.
The reception is dark and dismal, the restaurant door is closed all day except for breakfast.
Breakfast was very skimpy with a piece of toast offered with a thin layer of tomato spread on it??
Good coffee though!
I stayed in a solo room - rather dismal.. and ancient and no aircon in 36 degrees temperatures.
The bathroom was renovated and nice though.
The elderly lady and gentleman were obliging in a reserved sort of way.
I would not choose to stay there again ...

Basic hotel for Camino pilgrims.

I liked this hotel more than I expected to. It is a traditional older Spanish hotel, very conveniently located in the old town. Our room was quite spacious with several big windows overlooking the street and good sound proofing. The bathroom has been nicely upgraded. Wifi was good (we could stream the whole of the Queen’s funeral). Aircon worked quickly and quietly (great bc it was 30 degrees). Twin beds were comfy, check in fine, unlimited cold water provided.

Good value, great location

Stayed here for one night while walking the Camino Portuguese. The hotel is right on the Camino route and close to many bars and restaurants. The lady who checked me in went to a lot of trouble to print my baggage label. The room was small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast is not included but the restaurant next door which is owned by the hotel serves a basic breakfast from 7am.

Pleasant stay

The lady that checked me in presented me with a cold liter bottle of water which was a very nice touch. Rooms were small but very clean. Located in center of town with many eating places nearby.  Right on the Camino.

I loved my 2 night stay at BoaVila.  A fantastic location, excellent price and very helpful with check in. For this price category, Boa Vila offers real value!  As others have noted, the hotel property and rooms are very quiet, and location in the centre of the old town fantastic.

Small, comfortable & quiet

Hello we had a double room reserved and when we arrived, Daniel nos changed it to a suite that had attention with us, water, recommended us where to eat dinner where to have breakfast, let's go to a 10 thanks attention we recommend you 100*100, Miguel y Charo.

Central hotel, with service staff, willing to help, but very noisy, with noises from both the interior and exterior of the hotel and above all very dirty. I went to the bathroom and the room and found myself up to an empty can of beer when I opened the night table.

Dirty and noisy, but personally pleasant.

I don't know what's going on in recent years, but I'm coming across more and more hotels with incomplete bathrooms. I think by law it's mandatory to install bidets; however, the dirty custom of not incorporating them, like English, is spreading. Too much WiFi and too much technology, and they forget something fundamental. Otherwise, this hotel is very clean and presentable.
