One of the minority of places where the publicity photos underplay the true appeal! The common spaces at Villa Rosalva are more extensive than we expected, with many attractive little nooks and crannies, including a couple of elevated structures, in which one can enjoy a drink, taking in the views, whether they be of Mt Teide, the sea or the nearby banana plantations. Our terrace was vast, with different shade options so that one could enjoy it for long periods of the day. It is somewhat isolated - buying provisions or going into town are 10-25 minute walks, with a lot of ups and downs. But taxis are cheap and plentiful if you don't fancy the ups.
A really warm welcome from Ursula and Helmut, their little blind dog and several cats.
A really chilled, very pleasant week was spent, and we certainly hope to return.

A chilled space in banana groves above Puerto de la Cruz

This is a strange place to stay. It is fancy styled, but fails as a complete holiday complex. The complex is big with a beautiful garden surrounded by banana plantations. It also has a swimming pool. It could be a nice quiet and cosy place to stay for a week or two, but you can only get breakfast, no lunch or dinner. That means you have to leave the promises at least for these meals. It is situated 170m over see level about 2 km from the shores of Puerto de la Cruz (where most of the restaurants are). This means a walk not without efforts to get back, partly on a narrow road with high walls on both sides and no light in the evening. If you have a rental car, there is a crowded parking lot on the promises, but the driver can not enjoy any alcohol together with the meals in town. Of course one could take a taxi, but for us the normal alternatives are by foot or by the rental car. The apartment was clean when we arrived and we got the towels changed every other day. Other cleaning was sparse; the bed was not remade apart from day ten, when the sheets were shifted. The apartments have flat screen TV with lots of German channels, but none Spanish, so we could not see the local weather forecast programs. What we certainly disliked was that we could not pay with card, so we had to do three ATM withdrawals. This was an inconvenience and it also cost us extra. On top of this we did not get a machine receipt, just a handwritten note that we had paid. I travel a lot but can not remember being forced to pay cash anywhere else the last 20 years. We will not stay at Apartamentos Villa Rosalva the next time in Puerto de la Cruz.

We were able to spend a beautiful and relaxing holiday in Tenerife, not only because of the good weather, but also because of the perfect accommodation on the island. Even before arriving, we were contacted by the lovely hostess, Fr. Höhn, to clarify the arrival times. The journey was not a big challenge thanks to our navigation device. (Be careful to choose the fastest route and not like our efficient route, as you might otherwise be left on the highway over 1.80m wide streets at 20% direct angle...thanks to the Fiat 500 Tencabar perfectly) In the chaft, Fr. Höhn greeted us warmly and accompanied us.

A perfect holiday in Tenerife

We really enjoyed our eight-day stay at Villa Rosalva. The friendly owner, Mrs. Höhn, personally takes care of the guests. The villa is located in a quiet residential area above Puerto de la Cruz. A rental car is recommended. Our apartment (AU, 50 sqm, with separate bedroom) was nicely furnished and well equipped. In the kitchen there were dishes for 3 people, also important little things such as cork lifts and tees were available. Unfortunately, the apartment was on the ground floor overlooking the Tenva parking lot, so we couldn't enjoy the view. Small parks were supplied with our own seats. We had a hard breakfast in Rosalva, but we could not take a look at the kitchen for two days, and all the brunch and breakfast can be taken by hand.

Maintenance apartments in quiet surroundings

Beautifully designed villa in the middle of a banana plantation but not far from the beach and into the city. Many seats, very quiet and very good for relaxing and feeling well. Beautiful little pool. Cozy rooms with comfortable beds and many pillows. Large glass terrace. Kitchen with everything you need, large closet. Very nice reception, if necessary breakfast or bread service and drinks. We felt very comfortable and will book Villa Rosalva again the next time we visit Teneriffa.

Villa to feel good

We stayed in Villa Rosalva 8 night and absolutely satisfied with quality and service.
Ursula is so welcome and pleasant host that we felt here like at home.
The Villa has very nice green territory with variety of flowers and bananas plantation nearby.

Very nice place immersed in greenery

When we arrived, we were greeted personally by the owner in the lovingly arranged and cared for accommodation. We felt very welcome during our stay - whether during the tour of the property or at breakfast, which always offered a wonderful, creative choice. Our room (type D: holiday home Villa Rosalva; about 70 sqm) was furnished with a lot of attention to detail and very generously. Overall, the quiet Rosalva is very comfortable, clean and you feel at home.

Purely recreational

We have chosen Puerto de la Cruz twice already as a location for our island exploration. The island has approached us every 20 minutes from the Loro Parpue or the Port of Puerto, but the bedtenburgs with their hectic drive and all inclusive offerings have not. We were looking for a quiet and well-kept accommodation with no animation snack in which you can simply relax. The lovingly-guided Villa Rosalva has made our wish come true: walking about every 20 minutes from the Loro Parpue or the Port of Puerto in the middle of a banana plantation, we were able to turn off properly. We were very excited about our apartment, the Suite Entreeva. The suites are very spacious and unpacked, but the suites are set up very early. Each of our hand towels were delivered to the kitchen without the need of a fridge and the rooms were filled with freshness and the rooms are now perfectly furnished, and the rooms and bathrooms in the villa are now available to us, and the rooms and the rooms are now available to the guests, and the rooms are often filled with freshness and refresh

Pure rest and relaxation

It's a very pleasant, quiet home, but not a hotel. There are spacious studios and apartments rented. All with kitchen and bathroom. Towel change and garbage disposal for two days. There is a small but fine Polish landscape and beautiful places to relax on the whole plot. There is no hustle and bustle. You can book a very rich breakfast for this, otherwise you can feed yourself. In half an hour you can walk to the beach and into the city, where you can eat very well. The famous animal Loropunden is also available in half an hour. At our booking park there was also a rental car, so we could book it independently of the taxi and bus stores. Anyone who wants to go to the hotel and make a trip to the hotel, and if you want to go to the hotel, you can only visit the Roseburg and Roseburg.

Quiet and very beautiful home

We stayed 4 nights at the end of January in a studio apartment. The room was lovely, loved the decor and the bed was comfy. We enjoyed making our own breakfasts and taking them to the sunny roof terrace, with views up to Mount Teide and down to the sea. We had a BBQ one night on the lovely patio - charcoal, cooking oil and seasonings were all provided. It was a beautiful setting, well off the main drag. An easy 20-25 minute walk into town or simple drive. About 5 mins drive to Lidl which was handy. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Most of the other guests were German, so was the lady owner but her English was fine. She was very helpful and welcoming. Wifi was €10 for our 4-night stay.
