Sanlucar de Guadiana

Sanlúcar de Guadiana is one of the most beautiful villages in Andalusia and Spain. I was lucky enough to check it out by staying with my wife at the tourist accommodation Los Molinos. A resort designed for anyone who wants to disconnect from the stress of capital or work. It has wonderful views of the Guadiana river and the neighboring Portuguese village of Alcoutim. Apartments not very large, but with everything basic to rest. In each block of four rooms there is a living room with a sofa, kitchen, fireplace, and refrigerator. It's worth disconnecting in this paradise. Good beds. At the bottom of the price you enter a cafe with a magdalena. Very good management by Jose Mari y. In Sanlúcar y Altim you can find several places of aburishment, including the car park, which can be rented as soon as you can.

A piece of paradise in the charm of Sanlúcar.

The complex consists of several two-storey apartments with rooms on the upper and lower floors. The middle floor has a dining room with multiple armchairs and a kitchen with a refrigerator, shared for all the rooms in that apartment. The rooms, at least the one we stay overnight, are narrow with two beds of 0.90 cm., a small bathroom. Of course, this shower provides bathroom gel, normal bathrooms and bathrooms. They are placed on a table with magdalenas, bricks of milk and coffee bricks.

The HOSTAL is strategic.

Excellent location, well-distributed rooms, very good staffing, and very quiet and clean space.The price is quite good, 100% recommended.We were left for courtesy, milk, coffee, and magdalenas for breakfast, the rooms have a living room to share, in which there is a TV, sink, refrigerator, freezer, cafeteria, fireplace, glassware with extractor, the truth is that in general everything is quite fine.

Much better treatment and situation.

It's a rented house, so you listen to what the neighbor does. So the night's quiet will depend on the neighbor you're next door to. The reception and staff are great, the treatment is very good. The breakfast comes in the price: A small brick of milk and a handmade madalena. The rooms are cleaned every day. They have air conditioning that cools the room quickly. Being in the upper room, the views are very good over the river. It has a community living room, with a TV, a refrigerator where you leave food, water, refreshments and a microwave where you heat the milk of the children. The river has a fluvial beach, but it's dangerous because of the currents of the La Guadai river. Food in the upper room and there are 20 outdoor restaurants that you can keep in the same area, but in the upper San Francisco area, you can keep the food in the same supermarket.

Hostel to spend a few days or more.

The place was very lucky to find it, the owners booked us the four double rooms of a single house, so we were completely independent and the manager of each house was essential to make everyone very comfortable- The rooms were spacious and very comfortable, with beautiful views of the river all.

Great experience

The houses are very well fitted, the air-conditioned decoration and above all the views are magnificent with the Guadiana River in the background, it is highly recommended the site is ideal for resting, we stayed in the house that has its own terrace and is prepared for people with reduced mobility.

Good views

I recommend 100% this site, the surroundings and the views from the terrace of the house are beautiful. The house we enjoyed very much, was very clean and had everything needed. Routes to make very pretty and without much difficulty since we were with girls. We really liked the site and I would recommend it to all my friends, as it is worth spending a few days relaxing there. Thank you to the owners for their kindness and cordiality.

The environment is spectacular.

Los Molinos is a cross between a hotel and upmarket hostel. Our en suite room was decorated in vibrant colours and overlooked the river and Alcoutim beyond. 

Our room had no private terrace; however, there's a huge open area with outside seating in front of the various buildings overlooking a large agricultural patch with goats and vegetables and the river. 

There is a shared lounge/kitchen downstairs should you wish to cook (we didn't bother ourselves). 

Maria (not sure if she's the owner or manager) speaks very good English and when we asked about tea bags (there are coffee making facilities in the rooms), she kindly went off in search of some and returned with a whole unopened box. 

The sun sets across the river and was quite magnificent on the night we stayed (the day before setting off to walk the Via Algarviana).

The reception is open from 10am to 2pm, at least it is written on an outdoor sign but the best way to contact is by phone. The person we called arrived fairly quickly and she welcomed us with professionalism and courtesy. The hotel part of Los Molinos is made up of three small buildings of 4 individual rooms, two on each floor, a living room/kitchen has been converted into a common bathroom, everything is very clean and well decorated. The advantage: there is an apparent refrigerator, lavabo, kitchen table and kitchen utensils are covered by a shed, but it also seems difficult for the small rooms to be used if all the rooms are occupied outside the reception.

It's a stunning view of the room.

We stayed in one of the bungalows.  It was excellent accommodation. Very clean, large rooms and in a really good location. We had a great view from our patio across the river to Portugal.  It was in easy walking distance of Sanlucar. The owners were very friendly and helpful.
