To be brutally honest, we were a bit disappointed. Being non-swedes, the idea of staying in a traditional Swedish house on an island seemed great, until we arrived. Close to, you can see the rotten wood and peeling paint on the buildings. We had booked into the annexe but weren’t aware of two things. Breakfast is placed in your room in the fridge. Yes, it was nice to eat outside in the grounds but the breakfast is very basic and no choices are offered. Inside, the annexe feels like a youth hostel, not a home and there’s no access to the main house common areas. The annexe interior common areas weren’t traditional or homey at all, furnished with office chairs and the ‘dining room’ clearly used for meeting and conferences. For this price point we expected more.
There are lots of lovely outside areas, lawns, a deck and a jetty but the noise from the E4 travelled clearly across the water, somewhat destroying the otherwise idyllic location. Whilst we didn’t think it was terrible, it is hugely overpriced, even taking into account the location. We wouldn’t stay here again and if you decide to stay, at least you will be going in eyes open.

Disappointed

The small island can be reached directly by a non-paved road. There is the mansion and a smaller side house. With us all the guests were staying in the side house. The main building was closed. We were informed by mail as we got into our room. The next day the good breakfast was served in the very beautiful mansion. We had a very wonderful sunset in the evening and were lucky enough to be alone on the island at that time. The surroundings offer a lot so you can certainly spend a few nights. We were just on the way. The rooms are neat and clean. The bathrooms are being renovated. The location there is wonderful, but we should only get there by car!

Super great location, but something came in the years

Rooms in an old Manor House, on an island in the middle of nowhere. They do come and provide breakfast though. Lovely remote spot to relax, stare at the water and contemplate. Rooms basic, but all you need.

Quirky

We booked the suite here for one night as we were passing by on our tour of Sweden. The "room" was on the expensive side, but well worth it!

First of all, it's ridiculously spacious. First you have a gigantic bedroom, then a living room, and finally a bathroom with separate bath, shower and toilet. Windows of the suite open in two directions, both providing very nice views over the bay. Every room in the whole mansion is decorated with paintings, huge chandeliers, antique objects and such.

The bed was amazing: one almost needs to climb up to it and it's so soft you half sink into it. I got a very enjoyable sleep in it.

The breakfast is in similar style: very nicely laid out, with a variety of foods, and of very good quality. The staff is immediately at hand to bring more when needed.

The people were very friendly. Booking, arriving and our stay went perfectly smoothly.

The place is situated in peaceful countryside. It's a short drive away from the highway, but easy to find.

Peace and luxury

Have you every dream about being on private island in chateau like house? Then You can try visiting this place. The family running the house still live in the main house while guests get to enjoy what used to be staff house. Rooms are reasonable equipped and one gets a feeling of being more a guest in a family than paying customer at the hotel. Breakfast takes place in the main building and it resembles home breakfast as well, nothing fancy (except for decorations one the walls of furniture), but OK. Hosts seem to be good guys. The private island is a wonderful place to explore or you may just find a peaceful place all for yourself and enjoy nature, waves, and births while  daydreaming. As long as you dont expect a hotel, it will do just right for You.

Bed and breakfast - private island style

We absolutely loved the location of this manor, on a minuscule island on the Baltic Sea! At the time of the booking, the only available room was in one of the outbuildings instead of the main building. Despite being less "grand", even a bit shabby, we ended up loving it, as it was right on the edge of the island, with very beautiful views! The hosts and the other guests were very interesting and knowledgeable, making for an extended breakfast every day. I would have preferred fresh bread but I begun to like the local dry thin flat bread! In all, we had a very nice stay!

Peaceful and superb location.

Tried to make a reservation, but got no reply. After severeral reminders we were able to to book a room. Asked about dinner options and just got a "no" back. We cancelled our stay, and the response was "happy you did".

To succeed to be rude in such a brief contact with a potential customer is quite an achievement.
