The hostel is lightning clean, has super friendly staff, and is right on the harbor - opposite the beautiful yacht. Everything is within walking distance and has amazingly clean rooms at a very affordable price. We had booked this hostel by mistake and were all-around satisfied. I would book it again anytime.

In the heart of Stockholm

At first we had a 30-bed basement room with no windows and a very small ventilation mouth. The room was very dirty, just like the common showers. However, the manager easily changed us to something a little more respectable. I don't recommend, except for a night, if you're not scared by the lack of hygiene!

Not recommended

The service was very bad, the receptionist boy didn't offer us any bed linen and we had to struggle to find one (the reception is closed at 5pm). Although the location is perfect, the quality of the establishment is poor as there is a foul odor there. The overlapping beds make a constant noise which makes it very difficult to sleep.

Very disappointing.

Hostel in a great location, close to all tourist attractions and in the city center. Given the low prices, and being a hostel, you don't go there to get the service of a large hotel. Medium clean, comfortable beds, rooms with many people. Negative points: few bathrooms compared to guests, poorly equipped kitchen, sometimes bad bathrooms. Positive points: excellent location, comfortable beds, possibility to meet many people, low prices.

Average

We had booked 3 beds in a 7-bed dormitory. A priori, no worries about picking up the keys outside reception times (which are not very wide). But surprised when the keys are given, they do not open any rooms. Other people had already installed their camping rooms in the corridors, so we had no room to stay overnight and no one to call for this type of emergency. We had to wait until the next morning to get refunded. But that is not counting the non-refundable booking fees and fees for payment by bank card.

Not recommended, no room to sleep.

Hostel in an excellent location, two steps from the historic center and the shopping area. The prices are medium high to be a hostel but in line with the city. Our triple room was not very spacious and there was nothing to support the stuff, bed apart; bathroom in a narrow room but large shower area, the area is very quiet so you sleep well. Breakfast is included in the price but is scarce, only cucumber jam and cheeses, there is the kitchen in case you want to prepare something else.

Just enough.

It's a small hotel in the middle of the old town, but the showers aren't big enough and the kitchen is too small for all the rooms, and finally, the hotel is very noisy.

Very noisy

The hostel reception is open from 9am to 5pm, the staff is young and friendly but not on site outside these hours. The shared toilets are not cleaned every day and one shower was clogged, so, water in the hallway every day. The toilets are not enough for all the rooms, every day we had to queue to enter the bathroom. The building is very well located in the city center and very old, so very noisy. We could hear very loudly the people who went up the stairs, or the people who were arguing in the kitchen. It was very hot in the room, thankfully there was a fan.

Being cheap doesn't justify poor service

Central location, well served by the means... great for spending a few days in the capital. For the rest hostel in the norm, common areas for cooking. Common bathroom but still clean (a little narrow one in the balcony:D)

Good hostel, moderate prices

The Best Hostel Old Town is located in the centre of Stockholm, next to the Nobelmuseum and the Royal Palace in Stockholm. The city's prices are generally very high, so never expect big opportunities (although this hostel represents a good compromise). We stayed here for one night and overall the impression was positive. The room was of the right size and the decent and modern furnishings although it all looked Ikea branded.
