We had dinner with our three and six-year-old children. The food tasted very good. The children's card was also very appealing to the children. The service was great. It has a corner with toys, our children were busy and satisfied all evening. We are happy to come back.

New Year's visit to the restaurant

I have absolutely zero complaints. Authentic, affordable, 10/10 service, nice room, very fast WiFi, free parking, and an amazing view from my room. Wish I could stay another night! Breakfast was great.

Fantastic

The hotel and restaurant Bergheim has been a family business for about 75 years and the current operator is also a chef, the next generation has already learned.... Price performance is difficult to judge, since Switzerland is in sum exorbitant - relative to other local offerings very well. Reservation by phone instead of online (due to a demand) is easy, 10 minutes later the email confirmation in the mailbox. super. The room, restaurant, hotel floor, our room: old fashioned - but large and clean - and beautiful room on the mountain. The hotel is located directly on the mountain street high above the family windows so it is not very light.

Family business with friendly people and very good wild food

The boarding house is what it is called: a mountain house. We had a room under the roof with a communal bathroom. The room has a lot of atmosphere, a lot of wood, rooftops and only a small window. We felt very comfortable in it. The breakfast and the half boarding house we booked for it were very tasty. We were also delighted to receive a special request for dinner. The owner cares very nicely and personally for the guests. All this has comforted us over the four days of rainy weather that were originally intended for the hike.

A Nice Stay Despite the Dirty Weather

The room has minimal amenities and is overpriced with 100 CHF. The dialogue with the hostess was frustrating. You can't see any interest in wanting to rent any room. The hotel is practically empty.

Service inadequate

We were spontaneously able to book a four-bedroom for one night. The room was spacious, clean, furnished and had a wonderful view as a corner room. The service in this family-run hotel is very friendly and friendly. Breakfast is rich. In short: highly recommended!

Kind and family friendly

We were 3 men in 3 motorcycles.  Dieter opened the garage doors and we parked in a large dry secure place.

The views from the rooms and restaurant were excellent.

The evening meal (there is no where else nearby), was a set meal.  It was excellent!

Showers were a only luke warm, but I expect that was because we were the only guests and the water became warmer towards the end.

Great location with great views.  Would happily stay again.

Great stopover 

We've booked the five bedrooms. The room is simple but clean and has everything you need. The food at the restaurant is right at the price. Whoever is on an honest house-man's diet is sure to be satisfied. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They'll come back for sure.

Simple and Good

We stayed here for 3 days in February. There was a free ski bus running. The hotel is warm and cosy and the staff welcoming. The half board option was good value, the food excellent and they cooked a vegetarian option when asked. The rooms were clean and spacious and we were happy we could take our dog with us. Wifi worked fine. The bar stayed open in the evening and we enjoyed our stay. We will be back.

Very pleasant few days

We really enjoyed our stay there during 3 nights.

The staff:
The staff was very kind and pleasant. Always there to help. They also gave us free entries for the covered swimming pool of the town. So very nice people! (Note that the swimming pool pass are available for every customer so long they have enough).

The room:
The room was large enough and comfortable. The Inside was very clean and we had plenty space to stock our belongings. The only drawback was the acoustic towards the inner part of the hotel. Fortunately there were not many people in the hotel during our stay. 

Location:
The location is near the ski domain. Only 5 minutes with the car. Just great to be quickly ready on the skiing site in the morning. Though you are not directly their so you have to have a car or take the bus.

The restaurant:
Just great! Very good products, typical from our country. The food portions were big enough and the price was really low for what we ate. Just test the restaurant it’s really great.

Summary:
I think I would have given 4 stars due to the acoustic and the location which is not directly in the ski domain, but it was not a major issue for us during our stay. But I think it deserves a 5 stars due to the price that we paid, the very good restaurant and the very kind staff.
