This was a very different place to stay one of the most enjoyable 3 weeks ever. We were staying next door in a beach cabin and wandered over along the beach to Resorel. The restaurant was open with no one there we walked by the "kids" pool (bigger than most hotel pools) then past an "olympic pool"  and finally found a human David the 80 year old owner. Turns out the Olympic teams use it for practise and rent the place all year round for whenever they want it. The rooms are large the views great often we had the pool to ourselves for hrs. to swim float around on or laze and read.The staff are personal David is a wonderful character his wife gracious. The room rate with a buffet breakfast is reasonably priced it is no wonder many of the quests have been coming for 2-3 months every year for up to nine years. Peaceful a rocky beach but good to snorkel and fish many did daily, close to restaurants (theirs is only open for breakfast and all day free tea and coffee or take your own food and relax in the restaurant  at the ocean edge) We could write a book about this experience at Resortel for us all good. If your looking for a full service fun resort this is not it no bar, no restaurant, no crowds, no noise , no rules,just peace and quiet,pleasant staff, wonderful owners,clean well appointed rooms in a small community with all the amenities close by and a short tuc tuc ride to the bars and night life, We would love to go back!

Unique Oasis

One of the best place I ever stayed. The warmth of the place and peace full environment everything was perfect. The owner of the place David is a great host. Very helpful and charming person. The staff is very good. Swimming pool is huge olympic size. The sea is next to the resort. I stayed there for 9 days and price of saty is very fair. I would love to come here again and again

What in the world is this pace. It’s like the twilight zone meets Scooby Doo. The Olympic size pool is unusable as it looks like a swamp. The other pool is filthy no chairs. There is no bar or restaurant on site- likely the only hotel in Thailand with out a bar or food available. The beach is a collection of trash and rocks and a raft that only Tom Hanks and Wilson could appreciate. We are a group of 10 people and we reserved big beds not single beds. The owner actually told us the rest of the rooms are booked. We are literally the only ones here. Run far away. It’s like a horror comedy show. The view is nice of the ocean and sunset but you can have that anywhere on the west coast of the island. STAY AWAY!!!!

I have traveled the world stay Away!!!!!

The hotel is located in a quiet, beautiful place of pearl beach.We used to live in a room with a view of a pool and a coral reef nearby. The bottom line is that you only have to swim in special slippers and grab a pipe mask to prolong the pleasure) At the hotel there are two good swimming pools, one of them is a big one!!! There are bloated mattresses to swim and jog or play in a sea battle with friends or children) We used to live in a room with a view of a pool and a view of a garden. The bottom line is the same, one long hall, but it's a room where you can smoke, and all my smoke goes to us from the place of smoking, with a view to the garden next door:/ I'm sure you've bought the bags for free at this hotel next door, but you've bought the bags of vegetables. (I'm sorry to know that you can't get back to the hotel) I'm sorry to say that you've had a few things to say, but I'm ready to go to go to the hotel next door, and if you don't

Resotel

I booked for one night because we arrived a day rather on Koh Chang, it's just right.. clean room nothing rare, we see that the hotel is well lived and that we struggle to maintain this large space.. clean pool right.. one night it's good but voilas for the price I paid 28euro I couldn't ask for the moon..

Koh Chang Resortel is one of the best hotels on Koh Chang Island. The price, the location as well as the service are on point. Hotel owner and staff are very kind and always there for their guest. Rooms and Hotel area are huge and great designed. It's a lovely place and quiet as well. The price performance ratio is top!

Invites to come back again

Happy place with great owners. Not a complete resort ,but everything close by. Older hotel with character,and waterfront and Mountain View’s. Located one mile from two best beaches on Ko Chang. Swim at the hotel pools or in the sea. Kayaks available

Wonderful hotel

its my 4th time in Thailand and this is probable the best place iv ever stay in .. make sure you research location before you come. Its not in the main turist area but you have it all at the door step ( supermarket , restaurant 3 min walk ) has no sundy beach but it has the biggest pool on the island . Friendly owners , clean rooms just perfect if you want to relax away from busy turistic places .

i was looking for that kined of hotel

I got to the hotel, the weird guy who led me to my room, he came in with his dirty feet, the air conditioning wasn't working, it was full of little ants, and you could see you had sheets that hadn't been changed since they were still wrinkled. Call the bed covers. I don't even talk about the condition of the pool where I didn't even know how to get my feet in.

The ultimate nightmare

Nice hotel. Hotel owner and staff ( famely) are were kind og helpfull. We ben here 2 times and feel at home here . There is a BIF olympic pool , so You Can get exersise. Rooms are also were Nice . They have there pen breach, and beauteful Wew every were You look. Jungle, ocean , mountains , palmtrees. Tjek it out 😉
