Ko Chang

Spacious bungalows with a comfortable bed. There is air conditioning, a refrigerator and a television.
The food is really good. I can especially warmly recommend the pizzas. Breakfast was served flexibly just when you wanted to eat. On several days we didn't eat breakfast until 2-3 pm. 😄
Sao is really nice and speaks really good english.

The location may be a little out of the way, but still within walking distance of services. It is about 1.5-2 km to the pier and about 2.5-3 km to the beach. Sao can also arrange motorbike rental if needed.

I can warmly recommend. 🥰

Wonderful place.

Bungalows looked good outside, but when we opened the door that smell was like straight from the 80's. There were lizards and a lots of bugs. We are fine with lizards, but those bugs were nasty. When my fiance went to the shower, hudreds of small bugs came from the bathroom window. 0/5 ei jatkoon.

Bug cave

The owner is unpleasant and unfriendly, so we borrowed two scooters. Then, when we drove down a particularly steep mountain, my friend's scooter broke down and he crashed 60 feet down the mountain right into a big rock. Then we had to wait for the owner for three hours (the hotel was 30 minutes away). And when they finally arrived, they barely communicated with us and claimed it was our fault that their scooter's brakes failed... completely incomprehensible and stiff. Our friend is down except for a bruise on his knee and a foot injury, but nothing could have happened, but it could have ended differently. Finally, we had to pay the damage after we had waited for seven hours.

Absolutely disgusting.

We are rating this place with a 3 on the scale out of 5.
This is however not easy as there are many minus and just a few positive things that at least for us are weighing up the score.
The negative things first.
The bed is rock hard. It is impossible to get a good night sleep as long as you are not a fakir or a caveman.
The cleaning of the room for the week we spent here were not acceptable as we only got the room cleaned twice. Even with this twice cleaning, the standard of the cleaning were very poor as we had to ask specific for toilet paper. At the second cleaning occasion we were not given any clean glasses.
The room standard is very simple.
The place, although called ‘resort’ doesn’t have any pool.
Then the positive things.
The owner family is super friendly.
The food at the restaurant is very very nice prepared and tasty. We skipped eating at other places several times just so we could taste something new from the menu at the resort.
There is free coffee on a self serve basis 24H.
As the location is not at the center of Bang Bao but rather a 20 minutes walk away, the atmosphere is very relaxing and quiet.
And with the daily rate in mind, it is not bad for the money spent.

Here again, but this time as a couple.

Peaceful area, very away from the crowds.

Sandy beach in front, and a rocky lagoon on the other side.  Small pool, relaxing hammocks for reading.  

Rooms are ok, bed / hot shower.  For the price it's a ok value. 7-11 is about 40 min, but restaurants about 5-10 min. 

No wifi.  

Secluded

In this resort we are at ease from the noise of the evening. This part of the island is very nice. From bungalows we have a view of the ocean and the sunset. There are also monkeys in the trees above our heads (not aggressive, but don't bother them). The comfort is rudimentary but everything is there, even the wifi in the bungalows at the bottom! Thanks to the mosquito net too. Good quality/price ratio for the island.

Nice and quiet corner

The bungalows have 300 baht are really Roots. Choose the ones at 600 baht (green roofs and purple walls) for more comfort. A welcoming team, they will go get you a scooter if you need it. The resort is a bit of a retreat so scooter is mandatory. It remains however next to Bang Bao and the peer. For excursions, snorkeling and cooling with a super quality price ratio Ç is a very good small resort.

Very good price ratio

Hello should actually be from 23.11-8.12 in this facility but it was only one night.The room is under all the sauce with mold in the closet and about the bathroom you can just say don't shower or go in otherwise there is the risk of disease the tiles hanging on the wall just like this last remnants and where there were no more was the wall black before mold the water ran all the time out of the faucet and down then out of the drain.The air conditioning system was but there were only two stages full power or not at all.Wood cladding on the walls dissolved slowly.

Too expensive for the price

The place is lost in the middle of the palm trees, the bungalows are comfortable, but there is no climate and that's fine, the sanitary facilities are brief but clean. The view of the bungalows on the cliffs is great in the west, so we drink a cocktail on the terrace facing the sunset!...Beware of monkeys who steal in the soul!...We were there with three children aged 13, 10 and 6, no particular worries...The owners gladly lend sea kayaks for walks around the tip of the island, to go to the beach...The restaurant is extra, a real cuisine from the south of Thailand, the children loved it!...

Roots resort but great.

We tried to visit the restaurant of the Cliff View Resort, and what we witnessed was something scary. The grounds of the huts are not maintained, there are huge bushes blocking the sea view. Also the restaurant was empty, with no signs of tourist activity. We are not sure wheather this place is closed due to low season, but it is run down and dirty. The other smaller restaurant was always empty during our one week stay at the next resort, and we saw once one hut with lights on. I would seriously concider twice before booking a hut from Cliff View resort. The place seemed haunted.
