This hostel was very nice compared to the previous reviews I had read. Stayed here with friends for the full moon party. 

Initially quite worried as hardly any reviews and most were negative but the place was lovely. Clean but hard beds! Nice hostel owner except she was there a lot so there was a little mess up when we had to check out and she wasn't answering her phone but it was sorted and there was no issue. 

Mostly full of Thai nationals around for full moon but that was good as we met lots of Thai girls who were lovely. 
Great location.

Air con in the room was good

Full moon stay

Clean rooms with aircon and the beds are a decent size! Perfect location for shops, hiring motorbikes, going to the beach and also a perfect location for full moon as its a 5 minute walk from the beach! The lady who runs it is very accommodating to all and does the best she can to make sure everyone enjoys there stay! Highly recommend

Wonderful stay!

Had no idea what to expect but was recommended  for location and as one of the better options available. Not their  usual clientele but very welcoming., Clean and good size dorm, security good. Definitely one to consider if you are visiting the islands.

Ideal location

The other reviews are unfair. Make no mistake, this is a budget hostel targeting backpackers coming to town for the Full Moon Party so expect no fan-faire. That said, it was clean and the staff were decent. It's tight quarters - 26 people sharing two toilets and two showers. Yet surprisingly, there was never anyone waiting for use of the facilities. The location is superb- on the strip with spas and restaurants, a 5 min walk from Haad Rin pier and a 10 min walk to the beach. My only complaint was electrical outlets were a bit out of the way. Bring an extension cord. Free WiFi in room.

Better than the other reviews would lead you to believe.

This place made me feel quite uncomfortable. The hostel is owned by the people of the shop downstairs, who do not make you feel welcome at all (generally unfriendly and unhelpful). The door to the hostel is around the corner from the shop (with the shopkeepers having no view of the entrance). Behind the door are the stairs leading directly to the room. The door can be locked, however, I noticed on multiple occasions that the staff left the door unlocked, leaving it open for everyone to walk in and out of the room (I know it was staff who left the door unlocked, because I was the only guest staying here, which was weird as well,because it was during a full moon party). The mattresses (although I don't think they are truly mattresses) are hard as rock (I still entertain people with the video of me knocking on the bed which produces the same sound as a metal bar would make). I suspect there is a family living behind the thin wall in the bathroom, because I kept hearing babies and little children crying. Oh, and then there was the smell. It smelled like a very dirty cat litter box all of the time, opening window all day and night didn't help. Finally, it's not even cheap, actually quite expensive. Don't go here.

Severly overpriced and weird place

We stayed in Mickey hostel the two nights prior to full moon, the night of full moon and one night after. (there was a 4 night limit around the time of full moon.) The owner is horrible. She does not care about her customers and she's really greedy. There are only 2 toilets and 2 showers for a 26 bed dorm. Not really an issue considering everyone is in and out at different times and everyones just there for the party anyway. But there are not sheets provided so we were forced to use our wet towels as a duvet which was annoying because with air con, it got cold in the night. It was too expensive for what we got. But I had an amazing time anyway because the 26 people we shared with were amazing fun and no matter where you stay in haad rin, it's going to be the best time ever considering everyone is there for the lead up to and full moon!!
