Clean hotel with a lakeview 
The staff is very friendly and helpsome..You have the mainroad just outside so in the early morning/ evening it can be a little bit noisy with all cars and motorbikes
You can have a breakfast included that is served from 07.00 downstairs 
A room with 2 separate beds you can have for 1000baht/night and if you want breakfast you just pay 100baht/person extra 
You have a beautiful temple Wat Kaew just around the corner about 350 m from hotel and you have Tiger cave temple just about 4.5 km away
Plenty of resturants and stores and even a foodmarket very close 
Very nice place to stay for 1-3 nights 
Wifi,aircond,tv etc etc 
Next time I go here I gonna stay here again

The Gran Hotel 3 *

We booked a night alone to be from 11 am to 6 pm for a stopover. to have somewhere to rest. to do that, we had to pack up the luggage by the stairs, it has no elevator. it is well located in relation to the center of Krabi. it has Wifi and an Exchange and ATM next door. a square square is the restaurant Uno Restaurant, the best pasta in history!!

Passing hotel 

We decided upon this hotel principally for its river view location. 
Alas the river view comes with an extremely busy road next to it. The sound of which shudders through the single glazed windows like a train!.
We did check the room before booking but at that moment there must have been a lull in the traffic as the noise while there,wasn't as pronounced. 
Just to add to the symphony of road noise the aging A/C unit clicked and crackled worryingly above the bed. 
Upon complaining to the management we were asked to pay a further 400 bht to move to another room dispite having barely unpacked a thing or used the bathroom. 
A highly unsatisfactory experience I'm afraid to say. 
It isn't a terrible hotel by any means but if you are anything less than a heavy sleeper look elsewhere .
There are far better options to be found in krabi. 


Road noise overshadowed the view. 

The hotel is located by the river and just next to the walking street and night market. There are two types of rooms either with a river view or facing a parking area in the back. You pay a little more for a river view but the street is quite busy and a bit noisy. Probably quieter in the back. Lots of restaurants in the streets around the hotel.

Nice hotel in a great location

Great location heart of Krabi town,Room with private balcony, Friend staff, Very good Breakfast, If anyone looking for a nice and safe hotel I recommended Tawan Warn Hotel !!! It's very connivence next to restaurant , bar, mini-mart, and public transportation !!

We were here in January 2017. The hotel has an invisible entrance, so we had to look twice. The hotel has no elevator. Our room had no window in the bathroom or the sleeping area, but it had a good working air conditioning system. Our room was comfortable and had the most comfortable bed in all of Thailand (at the time we had already travelled 6 weeks through the country). The rooms are so that you can hear the other guests laughing loud or turn on the TV, otherwise it is very quiet. Since it opened the first night and we were still trying to get out, we were offered a free umbrella at the reception. All in all we are quite satisfied with the fact that the window and the elevator (the elevator had 2 steps, which made it very difficult).

Not quite what you see in the pictures.

My partner and I stayed here for one night in July. After getting a bus into the main walking street we decided to walk towards the water to find accommodation with a view. We booked a place further down the street which was way too far of a walk so decided to walk into a few places to check prices. Of the 3 or 4 places we walked into, Tawan Warn was the most reasonably prices and located directly opposite the water.
Room and bathroom is pretty standard but clean. Great views from the balcony and good walking distance to some main viewpoints and attractions.
