The DIVAN HOTEL is located in a quiet area next to Taxim Square. Two minutes walk to the square that leads to Isticlal . The most famous area. Full of stores and restaurants.the hotel itself is quite and inviting. The rooms are not so spacious but you find everything you need for the stay. Breakfast is fabulous!! Fine food great service. The desk the crew are there to help and take care of the guests needs. Loved staying there 

Great hotel perfect location 


We are group of 6 stayed in this hotel for three nights on Feb 2022 in 3 delux rooms. The hotel is rated 5 star. The breakfast was good but resturant's staff did not understand english and 1 or 2  could understand or speak little of it.
We were disapointed with rooms amenities and services We were 2 persons in each room and were gven 2 small bottles of shampoos that were not refilled every day. Then there was only 1 slippers in room..with floor very cold ot was inconvenience and unpleasant.
We requested extra water as we were going to our room at our fist night...we went to sleep and no water was braught.
We suspect that the room also is not  clraned everyday as we sae remenant of things we left behind.
On our last night the keys for all the 3 rooms  did not work. We had to go down to reactivate...and when i asked the receptionist how can this happend...his answer was could be you put  near your phone...my answer was is that possible for all 3 rooms at same time?
In my opinion this is not at 5 star hotel..i down grade it 4 for poor service.

Unexpected low service for 5 star hotel

Daa Hotel is right in the heart of the city, a 3-star hotel, expectations should not be too high, yet the prices are affordable, rooms are clean, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast buffet open.

Hotel is situated in the center - this is the only one advantage. And breakfasts are quite nice, but everyday the same

And all the worse things there:
service do not speak in English at all
no maps, leaflets, brochures or basic information of the city
room, which I got was dirty,
whole in the doors just taped
 air condition did not worked, after the short repair started
dryer did not work, had to asked for new one
TV only in Turkish or Arabic language
balcony totally dirty, cannot even sit on the chairs there

Do not advice for anyone. Better to pay little bit more and go to Antakya Buyuk Hotel.

Poor, expensive and low service

If you like a hotel where you can speak to the staff, or at least one of the staff members, and you do not speak Turkish or Arabic, don't come here. No one speaks English well, or German for that matter.

But that aside, the location is good, close to the market/bazaar and the pedestrian mall with all the neat shops and bars and cafes (I liked Asia Terrace and The Corner especially). 

Our AC worked well, the TV was OK but only had two channels in English (both news). The room lacked electrical plugs. The wi-fi worked well though. Our room was nice and in good repair, with comfortable beds and pillows.

The breakfast buffet was mediocre. The only coffee available was instant coffee, which for most people from North America or Europe is not even considered real coffee. My traveling companion and I stayed at this hotel for a week and after three mornings stopped even going for breakfast, preferring to pay for something better.

However, if you are on a budget and don't need real coffee in the morning, this place is affordable, clean, and has a good location.

Basic, no English, decent location, affordable

On the main street about 300meters from the main bazaar area and bridge over the Orontes. Large comfortable room with balcony overlooking the street life including a taxi station. So not entirely quiet.

Excellent breakfast spread, and friendly staff - I will stay here again.

Good location

The hotel has been completely renovated, the rooms are generous and modern. The service is good. The breakfast is the same as everywhere else, but very fresh and with plenty of choice. The address is perfect, you have everything nearby, including the buses. All in all, the price is quite affordable.

After reopening

I reviewed this as MsL of Tlell last winter when it was closed. The Turkish response below from the owner says that they have reopened in November. I have no idea what has changed, but it could be good! Someone stay and review it!

To be clear: I have not stayed there but the owner replied in Turkish and I am translating because it is no longer closed.
