The positive side of this hotel was the parking lot (just in front of the building) and the location: practically behind the excellent museum and close to restaurants and shopping. The building is to be renovated as well as sheets and other things (it is not pleasant as soon as you enter to see a washed sheets over). Unpleasant smells of cigarettes. Poor breakfast and prepared late. I wouldn't feel like recommending it for several days, but for a night or two it can go.

The good thing about this hotel was the parking lot...

As two families, we stayed one overnight at this hotel. The rooms were clean and satisfactory. The location of the hotel is very logical if you want to go a restaurant by walking and not to prefer driving. The other services are very limited. So, keep your expectations low.

A small family hotel just 400 meters to city center.

Been there for a week. Good Hotel and kind staff. The rooms and bathrooms were in good condition and very clean. They were cleaned and tidied every morning, hence the housekeeping were good also. Moreover this Hotel is a good alternative for visitors willing to see the beauty of Amastris!!!

If it is Amastris, this will be the place to stay!

We had a family visit to Amasra and selected Seymen Otel as of 11 years ago. Otel is completely renovated and all furnitures are new. We became happy although the rooms are very small but tidy. Staff is so good. Breakfast is our family favorite that is had on roof watching all Amasra. Cakes are presented from the oven and you can have while they are smelling. We met the same front desk man Mr Mutlu as 11 years ago ago he he noticed us. I can strongly recommend this hotel especially to families. It in in center and you can reach everywhere with a couple of minutes walking.

So good so well

The competition in Amasra isn't excellent so this is one of the better choices. Don't expect luxury but there is a lovely terrace restaurant and some nice rooms that look over the harbour.. Seymen's is in the process of renovations and is a little difficult to recognise but that may be finished in a few months. In need of better carpets in the room. 

A reasonable hotel improving

I've been first time in Amasra and heard about a lot it's beauty and famous salads. We arrived to the Seymen Hotel about midnight and my first opinion was; yes this is an apartment not a hotel. Very small enterance and what the hell are you doing here face meets you. Room is not special, bathroom is ok, not cold for the winter , double bed used a lot and need to change. What makes my grade up to two stars are breakfast and amazing view. Non smiling faces continiued during the breakfast and check out but the Amasra bay's perfect panaroma forgets all the negativities. 

You are not welcome

We stayed at the Seymen in August 2015. They made efforts on the bathrooms: renovated and clean. But the carpet in the room deserved to be changed. Worse, under the bed were cigarette butts, a chocolate bar and five millimeters thick dust. We kindly asked the receptionist to make sure that the next day was done. He took note but the next day, the carpet had not been cleaned. The butts, the dust, the chocolate bar, everything was still under the bed. This is unworthy of the hotel.

It's undignified for the hotel industry.

Overlooking the city/harbour/peninsula beautiful, rooms, bathroom clean and ok. Breakfast for 3*** poor. All employees have breakfast on the roof terrace, no one wants a good morning. Suitable to explore Amasra on foot. Towards the harbour at night very noisy, since on the main road. Whoever has a light sleep should get a room at the entrance, but then the magnificent view is missing.
