I had a relaxing weekend at this hotel with possibly the kindest and most helpful staff I have met. They helped me with my luggage when I arrived in the middle of the night and answered my questions about shuttle buses etc. Despite my broken Turkish. I also had the most stunning view from my window and the hotel was in the perfect location - strides away from the coach park, museum and town centre  Parts of the hotel looks a bit tired but overall I felt very privileged to be staying here and was sad to leave.

Wonderful hotel and staff

It's worth four stars to me. Book rooms with sea views, man has no better view than this, I don't think. The whole building is pretty old and has fallen into disrepair, it needs to be renovated.

It's great.

We had high hopes for our first trip to Amasra.  The hotel looks great in the photos, but the reality was a bit too harsh.  We showed up to see our room, the one that was supposed to have a great view, covered with plastic and scaffolding.  Oh, and it happened just that morning and would we like another room?  Huh?  The other room was smaller and you could see the water from the balcony if you looked the right way.  The wi-fi was spotty, the bathroom was grungy and the towels were thinner than my grandma's.  Breakfast was okay, but nothing to write home about.  We were very disappointed and even more so when we paid the bill and was charged $47 for a $40 room.  We didn't argue, but won't be going back.

Not worth the money.

We visited Isikaltin hotel as a family and booked a family room. We were planning to stay for 4 nights but we couldnt stay more than 2 nights.The room was the tinniest room i have ever seen, we couldnt even move in the room. The photos they uploaded didnt reflect the reality. The location is central and good but too noisy during the nights. 

Tinny room with horrible design

The hotel is located at the entrance of the city. We have taken 3 rooms. The rooms are not very large but they are clean and each has a balcony overlooking the sea. The staff are friendly and friendly. We are satisfied with our choice.

Easy access to the beach

Hotel in good location right on the beach of the old port of Amasra. Beautiful view of the room and room balcony (unfortunately without seating facilities) directly to the sea. The town can be explored from the hotel comfortably on foot, good fish restaurants can be found in the immediate vicinity. Unfortunately the room smelled like cigarette smoke. The bathroom was rather old and showed mold tracks. Despite the barely traffic at night, even with closed windows, it was very noisy (doggebell etc.).

Basic hotel in good condition

We stayed in this hotel for a night. We were not happy with the cleanliness of the room and the sheets. There was noise from upper floors due to weekend program and it wont stop until 12:00 at night. However it was just for sleep and one night. The personnel was kind. Breakfast was really simple.

No Cleanliness

It's a big hotel overlooking the small harbor. The rooms are medium sized, comfortable and functional, but with a tiny bathroom with no windows. I loved the view from the room, the abundant breakfast served on the seafront floor and the fish dinner at the restaurant on the top floor, always with sea view.

Romantic.

Really. Being right next to the lovely town park and harbor and walking distance to the restaurants and shops in a busy tourist season is what keeps this hotel alive. Small rooms don't upset us...it's what we expect in small towns. The curtains and carpet weren't too sad, but the linens were shabby. Cheap folding chairs had to serve as luggage racks so we had nowhere to sit other than the bed. We stayed the planned 2 nights. No one came to check if we needed to change the stained towels which would have been necessary. It seems too that they never noticed that the light over the sink doesnt work. The shower was strong but the water temperature fluctuated every few seconds. And it leaked so much that we had to mop up the water with the bath mat. Yes, it is a humid area, but it seems no one has cleaned the mildew in the shower in ages. A less- than average breakfast buffet and not very friendly front desk lady completed the picture.

Location is the only good thing

Just coming to the left, this recent hotel is still in the city centre. Nice, clean and well-arranged, it offers a good price ratio. The restaurant has a very good cuisine. All the rooms have a balcony overlooking the sea. Only the little bemool, the rooms are very poorly insulated, and no one speaks English! Fortunately there is an online booking site, it's very convenient... For the sake of convenience, we do it, as is everywhere else on this tourist-poor coast of Turkey.
