We had read in numerous review about the difficulty finding this hotel but if you follow the instructions provided by the hotel it is reasonably straight forward. Our mistake was to second guess ourselves thinking the bridge didn't loo like it was for car use! We were warmly welcomed by the owner and he assisted with our bags and helped with the parking site for the car. Our room was 'Hera' room and decorated accordingly as are the other rooms. The owner has great local knowledge and very good English. He made recommendations for restaurants and activities- all in easy walking distance. The rooms are very comfortable and there are areas in the hotel where you can sit and read or simply relax- we even had a visit into the wine cellar. Breakfast was prepared by a wonderful local woman and was fresh, plentiful and tasty. Tea and coffee are available for guests to make at any time.
This was a wonderful relaxing stay.

Great boutique hotel

My family and I had a perfect stay at this family run hotel. The couple running it made us feel so welcomed, like family. The rooms were beautifully authentic and clean, and the breakfast was exquisite, with a view overlooking Bergama. We drank delicious wines on the terrace and were able to ask the owners all of our questions. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to all!

The perfect hotel

Good hotel in the hearth of Bergama old town. 
The room was clean. The breakfast very good and quite big. Free Parking also available. 
The owners are a very nice couple that take care personally of this small hotel and are available to suggest you whatever you need about restaurants place to visit and so on. A furnished cave of local and international wines is also available.

Good hospitality in the heart of Bergama

Quaint, charming, inviting and homey, Hera Hotel offers a cosy environment. It is run by family members who are warm and welcoming.  It’s like a home away from home.  The rooms upstairs are accessed via a stairway but help is always available to take the luggage upstairs.  We were treated not like guests but like family. 

Home away from home

This hotel was very charming.  It’s a historic building that has been renovated into a guest house.  The family running it was very kind and gracious.  They told us many local spots to visit and the woman made an amazing breakfast.  In fact, the breakfast was ready for us when we woke up and arrived to the dining space.  The room was gorgeous and the bathroom was grand.  The only downside was that hot water did not last long.  I would definitely stay here, again.  We loved this small town and the vibe and hospitality.

Charming and historic guest house

A small charming hotel in the old section of bergama.  Tough to find.  Best to buy a local map as google maps dont work well.  Terrace of hotel was lovely and staff was helpful.  The breakfast was incredible.  
We noticed other hotels and were pleased with the choice we had made.  Folks seeking american standards will hopefully be charmed by this good option.

Great views

Stayed one night. Lovely room with a balcony and view over the city. No restaurant, but a good restaurant, which they recommend, around the corner. Very helpful staff.
It is quite difficult to access by car, but persevere….it’s worth it.
We visited both Pergamum Acropolis and Asklepion, both fascinating.

Intriguing hotel in the Old Town

Hera Hotel's top rating is well deserved in our experience. We stayed here three times during 2022 while house-hunting in the area. It's a beautifully restored old house, with a wonderful secluded courtyard garden and with great views over the town from the breakfast terrace. The staff are very friendly and the Turkish-style breakfast is good and generous, with coffee served as well as tea (definitely not a given at breakfast in Türkiye). There's a small car park, but beware: many of the roads in the old town are very narrow and not for the faint-hearted. Definitely don't try to drive over the river bridge nearest to the hotel: the road from it up to the hotel is only passable if you're on two wheels. My advice would be to park somewhere on the other side of the river and walk up - it's a little steep but not far. That will help you get your bearings, and you can then get directions at the hotel for the best approach by car. 

A welcome oasis

Very comfortable and clean.  Fantastic breakfast.  Friendly and knowledgeable staff.  Fantastic views of city and surrounding hills.  Hotel has been renovated to a high standard. Really glad that we chose this hotel to explore the surrounding area.

Very stylish hotel with an excellent family The hotel is located in the Greek part of Bergama and is the result of an excellent renovation. The rooms and mattresses are very comfortable. The family that takes care of it is fabulous, very educated and helpful. The local restaurant we recommended was excellent. We had very interesting conversations with them during the 2 nights and they also gave Professor Yasar as our guide through the city. Professor Yasar was an excellent teacher for us and our son again. We highly recommend it and hope to see this family as soon as possible. Very kind to our son.
