Nice clean room, excellent breakfast, easy free parking on site. There could be dozens of places with the same rating but it's the owner that makes the difference at Golden Pension. He is extremely kind in a genuine way which reflects the spirit of Turkey. I had a problem with my motorcycle that was solved in no time with his and his friend's help . Tried to offer money and then a coffee to show my appreciation for the help but no way , they just helped me out of kindness...At the end I was offered a coffee!!!! I have promised myself to go back with my family so good was the whole experience. Did I mention the beauty of Patara Beach...

Golden Pension is a simple and economical boarding house in the centre of Patara. For a low cost it offers a clean room with a comfortable bed, a nice clean bathroom, a common fridge. The buffet breakfast is really good and varied, one of the best of our trip to Turkey. The staff is kind. Good quality/price ratio

Simple hotel with great breakfast

It's a little dated, but before I took this, I saw three of them, no one is better and no one has a TV. Central. Economy. It's very good.

Consider this.

We are here a week, but I'm already calling this place my other home. First I must say that this is a pansion, therefore do not expect some ultra, turbo, de luxe hotel, in opposite its a simple, nice, quiet place with a spirit of, for most of us, lost family world. Rooms are not big but beds are big and very comfortable. Its in quite surrounding and sleeping is very good. The entire place is very clean. The restaurant is excellent. We will be back for sure.

Our home in Turkey

Pension in the center of Patara 2 km from the beach and ruins of the ancient city. Il ideal place for those looking for a vacation away from mass tourism. We stayed here for six nights in half-pension. Very kind staff, excellent Turkish breakfast, dinner with a wide choice of snacks, main dish and sweets or fruit. Fresh and carefully prepared food. Simple and quiet rooms with balcony and air conditioning. Patara is a very pretty little village with various places to eat, some bars and souvenir shops. The beach is very charming as well as sand dunes to admire at sunset. There are small buses that pass in front of the pension both to go to the beach, as well as to go to the sunset, canyon of Kallıkent, or Kaşkan.

It's perfect.

It's been really nice staying at this place and this hotel. The hotel is small and not new. It's surrounded entirely by green vine branches stretching over a restaurant, which creates a cozy feel. As close as possible to the beach and the historic city. The rooms are nice, nothing special, but there's no reason to complain. Only a pillow is hard. The greens and the songs of birds and all kinds of bugs go out the window. The food is also very decent. The evening on the terrace is very pleasant and tasty. The prices are not high. The breakfast is included. Very tasty, it seems that everything has been grown and made at home. It's been a very pleasant time.

It's a nice place.

We were recommended to this hotel restaurant which has an attractive first floor terrace from where you can watch village life through the greenery. The place was winding down when we arrived around 19.30 for dinner and we were the only customers.  We had lentil soup with the softest toasted garlicky bread you can imagine followed by a small mezze plate of courgette fritters, cheese pastry straws and chilli dip. This was followed by sea bream and vegetable casserole. Food was ok, service was ok, price was ok. 

Great location, average food

The hotel is located in the heart of the city, close to the city centre, in the heart of the city, and is well served by public transport.

Good value for money

The hotel is conveniently located and is only a five minute drive away from the ruins of Patara. The rooms are basic but clean. As this was the start of the season the restaurant was not open for dinner but the breakfast was excellent and included freshly cooked eggs. When I stayed here last year the restaurant was open and was good value for money.

My second stay here and I will certainly return

We returned after 12 years to find the Golden Pansiyon still a pleasant place to stay in Patara. Our room had a balcony where you could pluck lemons from the tree in the garden. The manager was very helpful and breakfast was good, served on the hotel verandah, with swallows nesting over our heads. The room was clean and comfortable and away from the road, not that Patara is busy or noisy!
