This guest house had good reviews on trip advisor, so we booked a one-night stay as it was a birthday surprise for my husband.  Before we arrived, we received a text message telling us that due to staff illness no one would be there to check us in and informing us what to do, however, on arrival there was a man on reception.  The 1970s patterned carpet and anaglypta wallpaper was the first thing we observed that gave us a hint as to what was to come next. I have never, in all my years of staying in hotels, seen such an outdated and old-fashioned room. The bathroom had no sink, sink was in bedroom (never seen that before and not hygienic re washing hands after using toilet). The wash basin had an almost empty Carex soap dispenser. The shower looked like it came from the ark. The decor was dated and old. The bedding looked clean but by this time we knew we would not be sleeping in it. The cups and saucers on the tea tray looked as old as the decor. The window was dirty and was wide open to disguise what seemed to be a musty smell and clearly something had recently been sprayed in there to disguise the smell. We turned around before touching anything and left the key on the counter and very politely, informed the man on reception we would not be staying. We then informed booking.com whom we booked through, and they said they would ask this hotel to refund us. Hotel refused to do so and sent us a message informing us of such and left a totally unnecessary comment of ' if you didn't stay that's your decision and a very foolish one at that' then informing us how clean they were and how good their breakfast was etc. Charming and showing a complete lack of concern.  It is also called GwesTY on booking.com, not Glyn Garth, no idea why it is using two names??

Dated, tired, did not stay

Next to the castle and run by a lovely chatty couple,  The family has owned it for years which is probably why I could not find fault.     They treat you like longlost family!  Good breakfast - plenty of food.

QUALITY IS REMEMBERED WHEN PRICE IS FORGOTTEN

clean room, nice breakfast, nice hosts, appears to have a new bathroom in room 11. only thing I didn't like is shower wasn't a high one off wall and toilet brush on carpet apart from that nice stay

Nice stay

We stayed here Saturday night, we had a lovely welcome from the couple who run the place. First thing the lady did was to hand over her new addition of a puppy. It made my stay! Very cute indeed. The stay was reasonably priced, very clean and the bathroom was well attended to. We had the free breakfast in the morning before leaving which was tasty. All in all 10 out of 10, and even got a pic with the puppy before we left. Lovely couple and accommodation was well worth paying paying.

Beautiful BnB with a view of Aberystwyth sea front!

Lovely B&B right by the beach but not sea front - easy walk into town , lots of places to eat.
Breakfast was lovely quick service , nice coffee ! Always a bonus 
Louis the host was lovely 
Room very clean and well presented - en-suite nice and clean comfy bed 
On street parking was free but did have to drive round a couple of times to get a parking spot no real issue

Weekend stay in Aberystwyth

A wonderful guest house ran by a lovely chatty man. 
Extremely welcoming and friendly. 
The rooms are so comfortable and cozy you almost want to spend all day there. 
The breakfast never disappointed and there was plenty of lounge space and games available.

Amazing

Easy to find on the satnav and there was on street car parking outside the property. Excellent location almost on the seafront , near to the castle and town centre. 

The host was friendly and welcoming and sorted the admin out quickly without fuss. The room was adequate for what I wanted and I had a comfortable night and slept well. Breakfast was served promptly , hot and tasty and there is plenty to have with a selection of cereals , toast and the cooked breakfast as well as tea and coffee.

 I would definitely stay here again and at the price it is well worth it.

Great location and comfortable

Good value comfortable accommodation. It is in an excellent location almost on the sea front, extremely close to the castle with immediate access to the town. Very friendly and helpful owner. Also good breakfast.

Good value accommodation

The owner was very nice and accomodating. Beautiful location on the seafront and right next to town, not difficult to get anywhere. I had a single room for three nights and it was lovely, the bed was very comfortable and the room had a TV and kettle. Breakfast was very nice too. Definitely worth the £120 I spent and would come here again if I had the opportunity.

Wonderful

Stayed twice now at this lovely place when bringing my son back to the university.great location just by the seafront although parking can be a bit difficult at certain times of the day.rooms always clean and welcoming.lots to eat for breakfast and caters to vegetarian/vegan if you let them know before hand.booked to stay again in a few weeks time.would recommend this place to anyone.
