The room was a decent size , shame the doorway had mould on it and the bottom of the door had a plank of wood across the bottom of it that hadnt even been painted to match the door.  Also mould in bathroom.
The facilities were good, lots of drink sachets and milk which makes a change.
Comfy bed but unfortunately kept awake most of the night by  something outside/in other room, fan or compressor or something. 
Breakfast was not available which had we known in advance we would have booked elsewhere, and no food after 3 on a sunday.  
No one around when we went to leave so couldnt discuss issues.

Disappointing 

Traditional village pub. Good range of food and drinks and the room was very comfortable. Staff friendly and obliging, but when spending £100 for an overnight stay, I'd expect not to be charged extra for breakfast!

Lovely pub. Rooms are a let down, the toilet seat doesn’t even stay up when taking a leak. They do not match the suite they are attached to, it’s the little things. The room my parents were in was difficult for them due to it being upstairs and very icy and dangerous to get up and down the exterior stairs. Hard to find anyone on check out. Each to their own but won’t be staying again.

No attention to detail

Visited here in the 2nd December for the second time and once again the experience was brilliant,lovely atmosphere in a village pub and super friendly staff and the food was exceptional and could not be faulted.Great  communication by email the previous week as we were quite a large party and nothing was to much trouble.
If you get the chance visit this pub as the it is well worth it

Fantastic pub

Very comfortable and clean. We stayed there for 3 days/nights as family live in Steventon, Oxfordshire. 
Great for catching buses etc into central Oxford and surrounding areas.
May get a bit lively in the surrounding court yard, however we will definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed two meals from the new menu. My chicken supreme was tasty with fresh green beans and smooth mash. My friend cleaned the bowl of her mushroom risotto. We had decaf drinks later with little biscuits and a small treat with the bill. Friendly staff and prompt service. Thanks

Tasty food

Booked my sister and brother in law in for 13th and 14th June 2022.  Staff behind bar rude, threw them the key barely explaining where room was.  Room filthy.  Bed unmade and sheets dirty.  My family returned to bar, returned key and came back to me.

Apalling

Today I visited the cherry tree for a pint with mate and we were served by a young woman with glasses and she was so polite and well spoken when we were ordering our drinks this is the first time I’ve visited this pub as I’m new to the area and this type of service is the type of service you want in your local area huge thanks to this girl who made me and my mates visit welcoming.

Generally, good food and friendly service
Staff are most polite, but nothing exceptional in terms of cuisine, with parking ate the rear, and a island bar with sperate sections, both are mixed eating/social

We stayed over at this B & B the room was very clean. Great power shower 
The couple that run this place are friendly and very helpful we eat in the pub restaurant that night the food was first class I had the king prawns to start loved them after that I had Bass with mash potato and vegetable and my wife had liver I tried the gravy was gorgeous we couldn’t have a desert because with the food was so good we was both full I am deafly going to return to this place as I enjoyed the food so much
