The house has been beautifully decorated in restful tones, plaid blankets on beds, and is very relaxing to enter. The situation is unsurpassable with views to the mountains all around. A birdfeeder outside the window is a pleasing distraction. The food was excellent and plentiful. Wouid go back just for the experience of staying there again!

Elegant yet homely B&B with fabulous home-cooked meals

We had a lovely stay on a group trip. Perfect meal in the evening and cracking breakfast.

Hosts were very relaxed and hospitable.

Nothing was too much trouble.

Really comfortable rooms.

Perfect retreat

Just spent a couple of nights at Heatherbank on our way to the Isle of Mull. Lovely room , very comfortable bed and a superb shower! Paul and Lorna not forgetting Sebastian were very welcoming and made us feel at home. Great breakfasts and their suggestions for evening meal options were perfect. It's such a beautiful area with lots of lovely places to visit. Thoroughly recommended.

Wonderful B&B

Fantastic stay at Heatherbank - pristine clean, great bed, even better shower, great thought has gone in to the decor, best take away picnic ever, nothing too much trouble for Paul and Lorna (the owners). Drove out first morning to see deer on the road and an eagle soaring. We had a superb stay - highly recommended and hope to be back. Paul and Lorna have cracked it with Heatherbank!

A room with a view…..

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in the suite at The Strontian Hotel.  Spotlessly clean, super comfy bed, beautiful views over the Loch, great breakfast, and friendly hosts.  The whole area is absolutely stunning and Strontian makes for a great base whilst exploring Ardnumurchan.  The hosts have a super knowledge of all the wonderful places to explore and a great selection of maps that can be borrowed.  We will definitely return.  In fact, we are already planning our next visit!

Just one point to note.  The hotel restaurant is under separate management and our evening meal wasn't to the same standard as the rest of our experience.  That being said, perhaps it will improve as the season gets going (we visited the week after things opened up post covid closure).

Fantastic stay

Myself and a colleague stayed here during a work trip. Lorna & Paul were friendly and accommodating, and provided us with suggestions on where to dine locally. The bed in my room was extremely comfy, the room was tastefully decorated and really cosy, and the scrambled eggs for breakfast were superb! Would certainly recommend a stay at Heatherbank to anyone looking in the area. It’s very peaceful and some beautiful views too.

Lovely B&B and accommodating hosts

We had a brilliant stay at Heatherbank in September 2020. Beautiful views, peaceful sleeps, lovely touches in the room and stand out breakfasts!! Paul and Lorna are great hosts and really looked after us, with tips and advice for the local area. Standout breakfast!

We stayed at Heatherbank for 2 nights in early September to give ourselves a day off from travelling whilst on our way to the Outer Hebrides. Paul & Lorna made us very welcome. Good clean comfortable room. Excellent breakfasts too. On our day off we walked from the door down to Strontian - there are signed paths not shown on the OS Explorer map - Paul & Lorna can advise. We ate out at the Ariundle Centre both evenings.
Highly recommended, but beware distances on signs for Heatherbank are under-estimates!

HIghly recommended

This was a last minute booking for a business trip to Glenfinnan. Unfortunately, we were very late arriving but Paul was very understanding and couldn't of been more helpful. The accommodation was spacious, clean and the bedrooms were tastefully decorated. The cooked breakfast was most welcome. 
Heatherbank has a very nice ambience and the views are simply breath taking. I would have no hesitation in recommending a stay at Heatherbank. Paul and Lorna were perfect hosts during our 2 day business trip.

Highly Recommended

Stayed early September for Covid break. Open warm welcome and presented with lovely accommodation in fabulous location with stunning views and regular sittings of herds of wild deer. Lorna and Paul very attentive with nothing too much trouble. Room high quality and breakfasts that will set you up for the day. Good location for stepping out into the wilderness to view the wildlife ( red deer, sea eagles, otters and seals). Will definitely return. Highly recommended
