highly recommendable! Very welcoming host and excellent breakfast, even the english one (without the black pudding). Nice view and comfortable rooms to stay in if the weather is chilly outside!

Just come back from 3 nights at Morwendon, staying in the Garden Room, which is separate from the main hotel (so, own front door, which was great).  The area around the hotel is beautiful, absolutely stunning scenery.  We spent a day on the beach, which is a short journey away and then took a ride on a steam train.  There's a good bar and restaurant within approx a quarter of a mile, so we walked there on the evenings (quick tip though, take a torch for on the way back).  If you don't fancy walking, there's a great local taxi service.  We went into Barmouth but didn't fancy walking back and called a cab, which cost £5.  The hotel has a car park, so no need to worry about the car being left in the road.  We were looking for a relaxing break and got exactly that.  Breakfast was excellent and the hosts were superb, friendly and helpful with ideas of where to go in the daytime etc.  Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely relaxing stay

We had a lovely room with a sea view, very clean, breakfast was excellent both Kate and Rob were very good hosts we felt very welcome would stay there again. evening drinks were available if required.

Stayed 2 nights 21st 23rd august

We stayed for 3 nights in room 6 - The Garden Room - with our dog. Our grown up daughter also came with us and had a sea view room on the first floor. This is the second time we have booked a stay at Morwendon. The Garden room is perfect if you have a dog with you. Access straight onto a safe and enclosed garden shared only with the owners 2 lovely labradoodles. The room is spacious and equipped with towels for muddy paws and dog treats. Our daughters room was beautiful with lovely sea views. Fantastic breakfast every morning and the owners are extremely friendly and knowledable about the area. Beautiful hill walks on your doorstep and a beach which is almost completely dog friendly all year apart from one small section during the summer. We will definitely be back.

Enjoyed two days at Morwendon House.  Great hosts who created a relaxed atmosphere.  Our room was clean and airy with a comfortable bed.  The breakfasts were beautifully cooked and there was a good choice of fresh fruit and yoghurt.  Would recommend.

Lovely guest house, great location.

A cosy place to stay, beautiful location and friendly welcome (Barmouth is a wonderful place to visit). The owners were very nice the view is perfect and the breakfast was delicious. Good value for money and pleasant throughout.

A lovely place for a cosy getaway

Stayed at Morwendon guest house for three nights, going by the positive reviews I had high expectations. The view from our room was fantastic, the lack of little extras like biscuits, hot chocolate or fruit tea on the hospitality tray which I would consider standard in a room billed as luxury. Bathroom floor could have been cleaner on arrival, the breakfast was nice but expected more as paid for a luxury room. Hosts were lovely, the location was good but we felt the stay wasn’t value for money as we expected more for luxury accommodation.

A little disappointed 

Lovely decorated room in the basement, which offered lots of space. However, the room was quite cold and the outer walls a bit moist. With the use of the provided electric radiator, the room temperature was acceptable. Still, the view was fantastic.

Had a lovely couple of nights at Morwendon House, stayed in Room 3 and beautiful isnt sufficient to describe the view. The house is very clean and has everything you’d need. Bed was really comfortable, spacious and had selection of pillows. Breakfast was really tasty with great quality ingredients and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. The only negative I could try and find is the car park is tight with a steep entrance but that wasn’t really an issue even with a large suv. We had a great weekend with beautiful places to visit nearby. Thanks!

The view!!

Went to Morwendon for a couple of days.  Lovely boutique b & b.  Super king size bed which was so comfy and the room was very tastefully decorated.  Very clean.  Kate excelled herself with breakfast. Can’t wait to go again.
