Travelled down from Scotland for an overnight stay and the hotel was lovely. Very clean, very comfortable and very central to the main part of my trip. 

The staff were lovely and helpful and pleasant.

The breakfast in the morning aas fab, good choice and the staff were brilliant. 

Will definitely use this hotel again.

Overnight Stay

Probably the worst premier inn we have ever been to, and we’ve stayed at several over the years. We stayed in room 10 (family room). The table lamp on the desk wasn’t working and the lighting in the bathroom was terrible! Only 2 lights in it and you could barely see yourself in the mirror! The shower was horrific and the temperature fluctuated so much, I was either scalding myself or freezing myself! We wouldn’t dream of showering our children in there! The sink was blocked, so anything more than a quick rinse of the hands caused the sink to block and for the water to go down! Surely the management/cleaning team would be aware of these issues???

Breakfast was running on skeleton staff, just one chef for the weekend and one front of house. Simply not good enough!

Only positive was that the staff were friendly. However a lot more attention to detail needed and please employ more staff at breakfast! Would never stay here again!

Worst Premier Inn by a mile!

Absolutely terrible place with no customer service
Whitbread as a major company will not help you in regards to any query 
please take my advice and stay away.
It ruined a lot by me staying at this hotel
It made me a different person
Stay away!

Theft of my belongings

The lane from the hotel to the local amenities was dangerous! It was covered in deep potholes which you couldn't see in the dark as it was unlit. I actually fell over because of a pothole! Fortunately i didn't injure myself but that was down to luck not judgement. Being dark i wouldn't want to see a lone female walking down there on her own as its a prime environment for a would be attacker. You really need to look at this. That lane would put me off recommending that location for anyone to stay which is a shame as it lets everything else down.

Dodgy access to local amenities

We eventually located this premier inn not the easiest place to find . But as soon as we arrived we had a  lovely welcome from Lee and Courtney. Super helpful and very friendly, recommend restaurants just really lovely . Rooms are spotless, all round a great stay . Well done Courtney and Lee  made it very special nothing too much trouble.

The staff were lovely friendly and helpful. 
The rooms were very dated and the bathroom was dated even had a shower curtain which are full of germs as they have touched other guests.  I would not stay here again.  Always had a good room in premiere before this as really put me off.  

Great staff shame about hotel

The staff here are wonderful. Friendly, and always go the extra mile. They are a credit to the brand.
However, they must have to deal with many complaints about the hotel even when  most complaints will be about issues beyond the control of the staff.
So the good things about the hotel: It is located within a very short walk of the Festival Park with its many restaurants and huge cinema.
It is clean despite its age and that is down to the efforts of the hard working cleaning staff.
I believe breakfast is great though I didn't eat there.
The not so good: Even with a fan the room is uncomfortably hot.
If you open the window when your room is on the road side of the hotel you are subjected to 24 x 7 road noise. Shut the window and you cook. Really uncomfortable night's sleep which is not great with an early start each morning for work.
So, obviously no air con.
No lifts either. Luckily I was on the first floor but I observed an elderly couple struggling up the stairs with huge suitcases. The lovely staff had offered to help but they should not be expected to risk a back injury helping to carry heavy luggage for guests.
Premier Inn is charging 5 star prices for this hotel. They need to think seriously about investments such as they have done at Gatwick Airport North Terminal. That's how it's done.
There's a shortage of good hotels in the Festival Park area but already thanks to helpful taxi drivers I have identified other accommodation not too far away for next time.

Amazing staff!

18 of us descended on the Premier Inn as we were attending a family party nearby and we had travelled from around the country. The hotel was conveniently situated near a number of amenities that whilst we didn't use, were good to know they were nearby! It was nice that this hotel isn't right within the Leisure Park like the others and overlooked the lake so it was quite quiet. We didn't spend a great deal of time in the hotel but the rooms were pleasant and had everything we needed. The biggest pro to this hotel was really the staff, from check-in to check-out they were so helpful and friendly, they made us feel at ease, accommodating all of our requests! Apologies for only getting Courtney's name but shout out in particular to Courtney and the young guy working with her when we checked in who got us all the irons! We stayed for breakfast, kids eat free and there was a wide selection which was great value for money, especially compared to places with similar offerings. The restaurant area was quite small so we were spread out on tables throughout but we didn't have to wait around for a table so it worked out fine :) If we come back down to this area for a family event we'd definitely book here again!

Family trip

I've used many a premier inn over the years and always a pick over other budget hotels. The hotel was clean and functional but felt very outdated compared to other premier inns I've stayed in and feels overdue for a bit of modernisation. It didn't have air conditioning but they did put a fan in the room, but the room was still very warm. Given the price paid for a nights stay I was expecting air conditioning and a slightly more modern room.

Rooms were clean though so that's worthy of note.

Beds didn't feel overly comfortable but did the job. Bedding felt bog standard in quality. Nothing to write home about.

Plenty of parking so you weren't searching for a space.

If I'm honest I probably wouldn't use this particular hotel again given there are a number of other hotels in the area so I'd probably try the competition if their prices were comparable.

Clean but felt outdated

I have stayed in premier inns before and this was way below my expectation . The hotel itself is dirty and the carpets need a good clean. The room  I was provided with had a very small corner shower and was very uncomfortable. The hotel did not have a cot available which meant had to co sleep. I will not return again and for a popular place, my expectations were high but this was terribly disappointing. Would have given a rating of minus 5
