This place is absolutely faultless. Val and Dave gave us a very warm welcome with a good pot of tea when we arrived; they were very knowledgeable and helpful about the area. Our room was very comfortable with a large bed and settee and a good shower. Complementary sherry and ginger wine was a nice touch. Breakfast was large and beautifully cooked. Alas, Val and Dave are planning to retire in September, and it's likely this place will be lost for good. The adjoining pharmacy next door wants to knock through the main wall and expand its premises. That's a shame, as poor old Belford sadly has nothing else to commend it. Some fellow walkers told us the town used to be a busy, vibrant community, but it appears the A1 bypass sucked all the life out of it.

Stay at this gorgeous B&B while you still can

Ideally situated with easy parking in the centre of town this cosy little B&B offers a friendly welcome & comfy clean rooms with good facilities. We had an excellent freshly cooked breakfast as well as cereals toast & fresh coffee.

Hard to find fault. Everything spot on

This is a nice cottage set in an equally nice village with a couple of pubs, chip shop and co-op a minute or two walk away. Plenty of room to park on the road outside. Dave was a very welcoming host with ideas on where to eat. The room is a decent size with a small sofa at the foot of the bed, flat screen TV, hospitality tray and fresh milk in a fridge on the landing. Toiletries provided in the nice en-suite with a good shower. The breakfast was very nicely cooked and there were plenty of other goodies, cereals, fresh fruit etc. all provided in a lovely dining room. We had a good meal at the nearby Sunnyhill Farm Shop which doubles a s a restaurant.
Our only quibble was the bed was not the most comfortable with a lumpy mattress that had collapsed a bit at the edges. This alone was not enough to detract from our very pleasant stay. Also, and importantly for us, Belford is very handy for Seahouses and Bamburgh, but at a lower price than those places.

Good hosts and room/breakfast to match.

Comfortable room with plenty of space.   Toiletries provided including conditioner, which we never find and not in wasteful individual bottles.
Small fridge in corridor for milk to go with hospiality tray in room so again saving plastic waste.
Breakfast choices beyond the obvious. Parking on road outside. Owner a good source of information, got a good recommendation for pub for dinner from him. 

Brilliant!!

This is one of these gems to stay a night at. Superfriendly host with good breakfast and helpful tips. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Good communication and good care is taken care of you. I can really advise this place to people visiting this part of the country. It is close to much too touristy Bamburgh and Lindesfarne, where service and prices have a different class. Loved it!
You van have diner in the general room, for instance the fish and chips down the road.

Very kind and tip top place to stay the night in Belford

We booked out the whole B&B and it was perfect. Dave and Val were wonderful, attentive hosts. Covid safety is taken seriously by the hosts, which we really appreciated. Rooms were extremely comfortable and clean. Breakfasts were superb. 

Belmont is a lovely, quiet village - very close to Holy Island and Bamburgh but away from the busy-ness of those places. I definitely plan to stay here on all future visits to Northumberland as the Farmhouse Guest House is quite honestly an amazing find. Indeed, we at Birding Ecotours will now use this as our place of choice for all future tours that include Northumberland.

Superb place to stay, Covid safe

Val and Dave are the most welcoming hosts who  run a super friendly B&B. Dave serves up a very tasty breakfast, and Val always has a cuppa and a homemade slice of cake to share. Spacious, super clean and comfy bedrooms too. Reasonably priced  as well. The best  place to stay in Belford.

Beautiful location.  Val and Dave are extremely welcoming and the rooms were very comfortable and little extra touches made it a great place to stay.
Breakfast was delicious.
Val and Dave also recommended a great boat trip that we did and some great places to eat.

Fabulous place to stay.

We have just had 3 wonderful nights at this lovely B & B in Belford, Dave and Val are so welcoming, the room was equipped with everything you could want and more, they have certainly thought of everything. The bed was comfy, towels were changed everyday, complimentary toiletries, fresh milk and water, perfect. The breakfast was superb ,fresh fruit, cereals, muesli was the best we've had. Top quality ingredients from local suppliers, cooked to perfection  each morning, 10 out of 10 from us couldn't fault it. Dave recommended 3 great pubs to eat not too far away, we had 3 great meals. All in all a perfect stay, thank you both, we'll certainly be back. Love Lynne and Paul x
