We stay her in March after the original B&B we booked wasn't up to standard
We were made to feel so very welcome from the off, we were helped with the parking,
our room was lovely & clean & the most comfortable of beds. Breakfast was perfect. Couldn't ask for more.

Lovely friendly hotel

What a great place to stay - I visit when I’m contracted to work locally with MOD or the Military driving school- nice comfortable bedrooms in a central location in a peaceful setting with a homely atmosphere. 
Great Breakfast too generous portions, not for getting to mention great polish menu I tried fabulous evening dining. I would recommend all cooperate people to stay here - will be back again soon this summer.

Fabulous and outstanding

We stayed for one night and the welcome was warm and friendly and fun. We felt quite at home and found the owners very helpful. The room was comfortable and the location was bloomin' marvellous! Breakfast was perfect for us - a huge proper man's breakfast and proper bacon sandwich for me!  Thank you.

We stayed here for valentines.  Rooms lovely . Breakfast brilliant . Owners were brilliant and very friendly  nothing too much trouble very homely and friendly . Would defo visit again . Thank you so much 

Lovely place . Very friendly

The Tudor Rose hotel is a special place to stay.  Once inside, you will find it warm and welcoming with tasteful decor and furnishings of very good standards.
An attractive bar overlooks the dining area.  Again, all very tasteful and a pleasant place to eat.  The woodburner was lit when we had our evening meal which made the whole atmosphere cosy and inviting.
Our breakfasts were cooked well and the choices were plentiful.
We had intended to eat at the hotel on our first night only but the food was delicious which encouraged us to eat on both evenings and they were superb, with the first evening choosing the Polish speciality.  They were  very big portions and the taste and flavours are making my mouth water even now.  Desserts were also good.
Our double room was quite spacious with a stunning shower/bath room and toilet of very good quality.
Our  room had an extremely comfortable bed, quality bedding, which made for a good nights sleep.  The room overlooked the road but there was no road noise to concern us.
Caroline and Jamie are making an extremely good job of making this hotel work and deserve all credit for their hard work.  They are a lovely couple, friendly and helpful.  
My husband and I shall certainly recommend this homely, independent 3 star hotel, which we would rather give our money to than a 'chain' type of hotel.
All I can add is, the reviewer 'off on my hols soon' is comparing and or confusing The Tudor Rose hotel with a five star hotel.  Sorry, this cannot be done, obviously!

Little gem with a big heart

We came to stay in Beverley to visit our granddaughter, living in Cottingham. Prior to arriving, the hotel staff were helpful over the phone to inform about parking and arrival times. During the stay, we had a friendly service and were always made to feel comfortable. The hotel is a 3 minute walk from the train station, with regular trains between Beverley - Cottingham - Hull so we never had to use the car. We were close to the Minster and enjoyed a beautiful service there and it’s only a 10 minute walk to many restaurants shops and bars.

Well situated, comfortable and a friendly service

Carolyn and Jamie are always lovely and welcoming.
The rooms are comfortable, clean and cosy.  The location is fantastic perfectly situated in the centre of gorgeous Beverley, we return as often as we can and always stay at the Tudor Rose and enjoy a tasty amazing breakfast.

Our favourite place

Excellent all round service. Some of the other guests particularly in number 9 were a bit odd and kept asking for ridiculous breakfast concoctions but overall a great place to stay. Location is ideal and price is very reasonable. Would highly recommend.

The hosts are lovely at this hotel. And the hotel is well located. But that’s the end of the good points. 

The whole place is locked in the 70s and needs considerable investment to make it to an acceptable standard. It does not ring true that all recent previous guests are so gushing about this place. We hated it! We also noted on the website a comment that no refunds are given to those wishing to curtail their stay- maybe we were not the only ones to have done this! 

Why did we leave early? Well....,

The rooms are horribly dated with paper thin walls. We could hear every sound our neighbours made- it was as if they were in the room with us. We had room 9. It had a tiny double bed with the most uncomfortable mattress ever experienced.

The en-suite is 5foot square with the basin restricting access to the ( electric!!) shower. The loo seat does not fit and collapses on your back if you try and use the loo! The toiletries are  cheap. As is the coffee and tea. No biscuits( maybe just as well!).

Breakfast is limited. There is value brand orange juice , and cheap fruit yoghurt, bananas and a selection of Value brand bran flakes, muesli  and cornflakes . No croissants Danish pastries granola fresh fruit salad or the like.  No porridge or similar. No plain yoghurt. 

Afterwards it’s full English or full English.

No veggie or vegan options. No salmon or eggs benedict or similar. And guess what it’s value brand sausage and beans!

In short if you like faded plastic flowers in your hall, bobbly poly cotton sheets
On the bed, lots of value brand everything , tony uncomfortable beds and”cosy” and noisy rooms then this is the place  for you!



We cannot believe previous reviews

Just back from our last trip to this fabulous little gem of a hotel. The building is quirky, rooms, immaculate and comfortable, food is delicious, freshly cooked and very generous portions if you have a healthy appetite. The hotel is family run and they do everything in their power to make you welcome, comfortable and have an enjoyable stay, it is close to the original town and a short walk to the new  shopping development and entertainment area.
